PLANT SUPPORT NETTING 

DISTRIBUTORS OF 

HORTONOVA 

Plant support net is a UV stabilised extruded plastic net manufactured 

from polypropylene. It has been designed to provide either vertical or 

horizontal support and is strong enough to withstand the heaviest of 

crops. 

Used vertically against a wall or on a frame, they are strong enough to 

encourage the growth of peas, beans, cucumbers and marrows, 

alternatively, the nets can be placed horizontally to provide support for 

long stemmed flowers. Successive layers can be added as they grow to 

maturity.

MULTI PURPOSE NET 

(Cintofl ex E, M, D, C-Flex) 

The Cintoflex range of protection nets has a multitude of uses such as 

litter fencing; fruit cage net, deer fencing and high ball stop nets or 

perimeter fencing for sporting applications. 

These nets have a high tensile strength and can be manufactured in 

widths up to 4.6m. Available in four mesh sizes, they are rot proof, 

chemical resistant and UV stabilised. 

They are easy to install requiring little support and can be erected to 

heights in excess of 25m.

Windbreaks are designed to provide optimum protection from rain, 

snow and destructive winds. Manufactured from UV stabilised HDPE, 

these permeable mesh structures are available in various widths and 

tensile strengths to suit all horticultural, agricultural and public 

amenity applications. 

Installation can be carried out simply by battening the windbreak to 

wooden posts and once erected correctly they will provide maintenance 

free protection for years to come. 

BLACK WINDBREAK 

Minimum life expectancy of 20 years against UV degradation in 

Northern European climate. 

GREEN WINDBREAK 

Minimum life expectancy of 10 years against UV degradation in 

Northern European climates. 

1m & 2m WINDBREAK 

Designed to reduce windspeed without creating turbulence, windbreak 

provides cost effective protection where no natural shelter exists. This 

product can also be placed around individual shrubs which are prone to 

frost damage. 

HIGH STRENGTH WINDBREAK 

In particularly exposed areas it is advisable to install a more robust 

windbreak in addition to closer post spacing. High strength windbreak 

has been designed with high tensile strength properties to withstand 

stronger winds. 

SUPER STRENGTH WINDBREAK 

With a tensile strength of 30kN/m this windbreak is one of the 

strongest available and will provide protection against gale force winds. 

Manufactured in 1m width, this windbreak can be erected in successive

ARTIFICIAL HEDGES 

Treadstone Products offer a range of artificial hedges designed to 

conceal unsightly areas or to use as a decorative alternative to 

screening. Ideally suited for bordering gardens, they require little effort 

or maintenance. 

Manufactured from PVC and available in two styles this natural looking 

range can also be used as a support structure for real climbing flowers, 

which will also decorate the hedge. 

They are UV stabilised, resistant to wind and atmospheric agents and 

do not need maintenance or watering. Installation is quick and easy, 

you can fix them to any structure using cable ties or wire.

Sterling fencing is a high strength, yet lightweight, heavy duty 

plastic alternative to galvanised chain link and welded mesh 

fencing, but unlike metal counterparts it will not rust, corrode or

GROUND COVER 

Ground cover is manufactured from UV stabilised black polypropylene 

which is processed to produce a close woven material. Tough and tear 

resistant, it effectively controls annual and perennial weeds. It is ideal 

for use under patios, block paving, gravel paths and driveways and for 

weed-free standing out areas for container plants.

TURF GROWING NET 


TURF GROWING NET (RADIX) 

Radix is a turf netting which allows the rooting system of various turf 

grasses to intertwine with the mesh apertures to form a uniform mat, 

creating excellent sod strength. Radix gets its name from the Latin word 

for “root” – and for a good reason, this product is specially designed to 

help vegetation establish an effective root base. 

Using Radix allows for the turf grass to be harvested thinner and lighter 

in weight, yet the sods are just as robust. This can result in lower 

handling and transportation costs. Waste is also cut by significantly 

reducing the number of broken or damaged sods.
