that you gave to us in the lead
up to and on our special day.
You really did help us create
the perfect day.
Hollie remained in constant
contact with us, always getting
an update on where we were
at, giving us great suggestions
for local companies and just
being extremely thorough at
her job. As we are from
Christchurch this made the
whole process totally stress
free, nothing was ever a
problem - it was obvious that
she had everything firmly under
control, which meant we could
all just relax and enjoy our day.
The service and food was
impeccable and so many
people have continued to
comment on how great the
food was! We could not have
asked for anything more and
are so pleased we chose
Monaco for our wedding
ceremony and reception, it
truly is such a beautiful place.

It was initially the charm of the Monaco Resort itself which interested us –
the roses, the central lawn and the brickwork apartments which lend an
atmosphere unusual in New Zealand. Other things later also became
apparent, like the proximity of the sea for photos, the wet weather option of
the grand marquee, the Monaco Kitchen courtyard area for drinks for guests
while photos were being taken, and the accommodation available for guests
with free parking on-site, to name a few.
The fact that the Monaco Resort is not far from town (making a taxi ride not
a great expense for guests) nor from the airport was also attractive and
helped us to feel happy with our choice of the venue.
The offer made to us by the Resort proved very competitive. Things like
tablecloths, serviettes, cutlery and glasses, and service were all included in
the overall price, together with the wet weather option (which thankfully we
did not require!), and also included the service of drinks and nibbles on the
Village Green. We got the impression that the Management would strive to
help us make our Wedding be our wedding our way.
The Management behind the scenes of the wedding was excellent. The
seating was arranged, and decorated, the petals were scattered on the lawn,
the musicians were provided with sun umbrellas, and the service of drinks
and food was really genuine and unobtrusive. The stage was set by the
Resort for us to make our wedding something for us to remember for the
right reasons!

The resort looks like something out of an
old English romance story, and lucky for
me that romance story became a reality.
Our wedding day could not have gone
better, the sun came out just in time for
our ceremony, the Village Green looked
beautiful, the Marquee was warm and
inviting (we got married in April), the
staff attending us and our guests were
attentive and full of well wishes, and the
accommodation was just perfect for
everyone who stayed. Danielle and her
team really made everything we wanted
for our special day a reality, were always
available to give suggestions, advice and
answer queries. The food served was
well presented, plentiful and suited all
of ours guests. We have very fond
memories of our special day and really
want to thank the wonderful team
at Monaco Resort for helping to create
them".

We are New Zealanders based overseas and decided to have our wedding at Monaco Resort. It was important for us to have
not just a day, but to spend a weekend with our family and friends. Monaco Resort provided us with the perfect
venue. Friends and family could easily drive up from Christchurch, or fly into Nelson airport which is very close to the
resort.
We loved the fact that our family and friends were staying onsite with us for the whole weekend and allowed us to spend
quality time with everyone. Friday night we hosted a cocktail party in the Village Hall, Saturday the ceremony on Village
Green with reception in the Grand Marquee and Sunday a brunch in the restaurant. We had lots of lovely feedback from
guests, how they loved popping into us, or catching up with other wedding guests who they may not have seen for a while.
The stunning gardens and quaint English setting and choice of different venues added to the ambience making it a fun and
magical weekend.
We could not fault the entire team at Monaco. The wedding planner helped us seamlessly plan from abroad, giving us local
recommendations for florists and other external suppliers, promptly replying to any questions. Over the weekend, the
service was faultless from waiters to hotel staff. Food is a critical part of any wedding, and always talked about! The menus
provided for our Friday night canapes, Saturday three course a la carte menu for 80 guests and brunch were mouthwateringly
exquisite. The level of professionalism that the Monaco team offers allows you to relax and enjoy your special
day as they care about the wedding as if it was their own.
We would highly recommend this outstanding venue.
