General Manager, was excited
to point out some of the positive
changes that are occurring with
the remodeling. “It’s on the same
footprint,” Marshalsea explained,
“The entrances are ADA compliant
with ramps that make it easier
for anyone to come inside to soak
up the warmth of this local pub
with an Irish twist.” She continued,
“Once the Red Rooster was
a ‘shot and a beer’ kind of place,
but now it’s not just a pub. We’re
emphasizing the quality of the
food.”
The menu items are mouthwatering
steak tips, always a staple,
are on the menu. Specialty
burgers and new specialty pizzas
are among the offerings, as
well as other old favorites such as
turkey tips. You may want to try
their popular Irish-themed dishes
such as Irish Nachos (homemade
potato chips doused with cheese,
bacon, scallions, and sour cream);
Beef and Guinness stew; or perhaps
you’ll want to order their
Irish Burger (with Irish cheese,
Irish bacon, and grilled tomato).
an Irish flavor. The decor will reflect
the owner’s heritage as well.
Music is and always has been
an important piece of the puzzle
for them, with the jukebox constantly
playing everyone’s favorites.
Look for live music to be
playing during the week at the
Red Rooster. “We’re still working
on the lineup,” noted Marshalsea,
“but we’ll have live music
playing here for sure.”
During our visit, we learned
of a number of charitable events
that have taken place at the Red
Rooster. Marshalsea is looking
toward the pub’s reopening when
they will again be a drop-off location
for “Toys for Tots.” They
hold a meat raffle once a month,
with past proceeds from the raffle
going to Home Start, an organization
based in Boston that benefits
homeless veterans. (https://
homestart.org/). When the Red
Rooster’s remodeling began, all
the wall decorations were raffled
off and the proceeds went to the
LaBonte Fund to benefit Wrentham
policeman George LaBonte
and his family. (https://www.gofundme.com/rrx8heqk).
“We’ve been a part of the
community for years,” Marshalsea
explained. “Giving back is
an important part of the business
for owner John Carroll. This
has been a favorite local spot for
years, and the business has picked
up in the past year, so we want to
keep up the momentum.”
So come on down to see all
the changes, catch up with folks
you haven’t seen for a while, or
make some new friends. Hours of
operation are 11:30 a.m.-1 a.m.
