Beck, a Norfolk resident, is a software developer by day, but also has a degree in musical theatre from the Boston Conservatory. She has performed in public theatre, King Richard’s Faire, Attleboro Community Theatre, and numerous other theatrical organizations. That period of time, she says, was “life 1.0.” Marriage and parenthood and the subsequent responsibilities forced her to put her passion for the footlights on hold. Her last theatrical performance was in 2004. Beck is hoping “A Christmas Carol” will be the impetus for a community theatre program in Norfolk. “If I can draw from the community to make that happen, then wonderful. If I can’t, then I will draw from a wider pool. I would like to involve the community as much as possible, because I think it’s a good thing for Norfolk.” Beck is already thinking about another production for next spring state of the art medical facility Enjoy the convenience of high quality care right in your neighborhood.
