Zoo <strong>Fuengirola</strong> BioPark<br />
This BioPark has a surface of 2 ha <strong>and</strong> about 1,300 individuals of 140 different species. It is one of<br />
the best zoos in Andalusia <strong>and</strong> one of the most beautiful zoos you'll ever see. It is different <strong>and</strong><br />
enchanting. It has animals that are not found in others like the Komodo dragon. It is very original as<br />
like the lemmurs tree.<br />
Contemporary architecture<br />
<strong>Fuengirola</strong> has three buildings included in the catalog of the Andalusian Institute of Historical<br />
Heritage as notable examples of the architecture of the Modern Movement: the Opera Apartments,<br />
work of 1962 by the architect Andrés Escassi; The Gallery Building, located on the seafront<br />
promenade; And the Municipal Covered Swimming Pool, by the architect Luis Machuca Santacruz,<br />
built in 1999.
