According to EN 13284, VDI 2066 and ISO 9096 for manual dust measurement in flowing gases and<br />

Zyklonabscheider für Staubkonzentrationen < 500 g/m³:<br />

Anleitung:<br />

Der Zyklon wird am Ausgang vom Absaugrohr montiert (G ½ Gewinde) und mit einer Flachdichtung Di-8 abgedichtete.<br />

Der passende Behälter wird mit passender Dichtung am Zyklon montiert.<br />

Bei Bedarf kann hinter dem Zyklon ein Hülsenfilter montiert werden. Durch den Hülsenfilter wird die Absaugrate aber auf maximal 4 m³/h<br />

und weniger (je nach Unterdruck) begrenzt und damit die Abscheideleistung des Zyklons verschlechtert. Die Abscheideleistung des<br />

Gesamtsystems wird aber deutlich erhöht, weil jetzt über den Hülsenfilterkopf eine Abscheidung von Partikeln < 0,3µm erreicht wird.<br />

Wenn nur der Zyklon betrieben wird, sollte für eine gute Abscheideleistung die Absaugrate über 5 m³/h liegen.<br />

Operation:<br />

Cyclon are inserted into flue at the end of the probe (G ½ thread) with seal Di-8.<br />

Please connect the matching dust collector with seal.<br />

When required, a tubular filter device can placed behind the cyclone. The tubular filter reduces the suction rate below 4 m³/h or less<br />

(depending of the vacuum) and therefore the efficiency of the cyclone. The total efficiency of the system will be better, because the thimble<br />

inside the tubular filter device has a efficiency from < 0.3µm.<br />

If the cyclone used alone, a better efficiency will be if the suction rate is > 5 m³/h.<br />

Function:<br />

By approximately 5 bar pressure, the air gasflow in the nozzle of<br />

the ejector become faster to supersonic-velocity. The following<br />

expansion of the air behind the jet-exit generate a hypotension at<br />

the vacuum-entrance.<br />

Ejectors<br />

are suitable for the suction by means of compressed air. The<br />

delivery volume depends on the pressure of the compressed air and<br />

the reduced pressure at the suction side. The delivery includes a<br />

pressure-reducing valve with compressed-air link and pressure<br />

indication, a sleeve valve at the suction side for adjusting the<br />

Sampling Train for Organic Pollution Measurement (PCDD/PCDF) according to EN 1948-1<br />

The Adsorption-System – conform to the European Guideline EN<br />

1948-1- is constructed under the conception to combine different<br />

adsorption traps modular round the cooling vessel of the condensate<br />

trap. The special holder makes it easy to fix the suction tube at<br />

the spot and to change the sampling position.<br />

The improvement suggestions from our customer makes this<br />

sampling train easy in the handling and best prepared for the rough<br />

conditions on the spot. To minimized glass damage the necessary<br />

glass is covered by aluminium or PVC.<br />

Basic version:<br />

Cooled suction tube with cooled condensate and double adsorption trap<br />

with integrated plane filter.<br />

Presentation of the adsorption traps - gas flow:<br />

Beginning with the cooled suction tube, the gas flows at<br />

first through an ice water or by cooler cooled<br />

condensate trap (2 litre GL 45 brown glass flask). One<br />

high-grade steel grid makes sure that no ice can<br />

blocked the installation of the condensate flask.<br />

Followed by two adsorption traps with plane filter or<br />

from a droplet separator. The Titanium plane-filterholder<br />

is our standard plane-filter-holder and fit into the<br />

PVC-support, which has threads for the two adsorption<br />

Psychrometrischer Feuchtemesser. Die Temperatur<br />

eines mit einem feuchten Baumwollstrumpf<br />

überzogenen Thermometers ist infolge des Wärmeentzugs<br />

durch Wasserverdunstung niedriger als die<br />

Gastemperatur. Die Temperatur-Erniedrigung ist<br />

bei hinreichender Gasströmung am Thermometer<br />

(mindestens 1,5 m/s) nur vom Wasserdampfgehalt<br />

des Gases, dem Umgebungsdruck und seiner Temperatur<br />

abhängig. Man kann deshalb mit zwei<br />

Thermometern, von denen das eine befeuchtet ist,<br />

den Wasserdampfgehalt des Gases (relative oder<br />

absolute Feuchte) bestimmen.<br />

Damit es noch einfacher wird, bieten wir Ihnen ein<br />

Komplettsystem an:<br />

Psychrometer mit zwei NiCr-Ni und zwei Temperaturanzeigen<br />

für den direkten Anschluss an Absaugrohre<br />

mit G ½ Aussengewinde. Im Lieferumfang<br />

eine Excel-Datei zur Berechnung der Feuchte.<br />

Maximale Gastemperatur: 100°C. Gase über 100°C müssen<br />

unter 100°C abgekühlt werden, z.B. durch ein unbeheiztes<br />

Absaugrohr, welches entsprechend weit aus dem Kanal gezogen<br />

wird. Taupunkt muss unter 100°C sein. Für die sehr genaue<br />

Bestimmung sollten die beiden Temperaturen nicht weit<br />

auseinander liegen.<br />

Psychrometric measurement of the humidity.<br />

The temperature of a thermometer which is coated<br />

with a wet-wool-stocking is lower than the gas<br />

temperature, because of the heat-withdrawal<br />

through water-evaporation. By adequate gas-velocity<br />

at the thermometer (at least 1,5 m/s) depends the<br />

temperature-humiliation only from the water vapour<br />

pressure, the static pressure and his temperature.<br />

Therefore can use two thermometers, from which<br />

one is moistened, to determine the water content in<br />

the gas (relative or absolute humidity).<br />

For the simple use we offer a complete system:<br />

In the delivery capacity is one Psychrometer, ready<br />

for the mounting at the probe with G ½ thread, two<br />

NiCr-Ni with indicators for the temperature and one<br />

Excel file for the calculation of the humidity.<br />

Maximum of the gas temperature: 100°C. Gases more as 100°C<br />

must cooled down below 100°C, eg. by using a non heated<br />

suction tube which is at the end respectively outside from the hot<br />

duct. The dew point must below 100°C. For precise<br />

Suction pyrometer<br />

For the determination of the temperature in the fire chamber (like demanded for the singularly test at chamber installations<br />

according to the emission act) is only interesting the convective part of the heat, and not the radiation-heat. Suction pyrometer<br />

can use for such determination.<br />

The thermocouple is in the front area of the suction pyrometer and shielded by ceramics-body’s to protect the thermocouple<br />

against the IR-radiation from the fire-combustion chamber. The hot exhaust gas will be sucked over the thermocouple. The<br />

suction pyrometer can be cooled by cooling water circuit. The sucked gas with the pyrometer can use for the measurement of the<br />

oxygen rate by an analyser.<br />

Composition of a sampling line:<br />

1. Cooled suction pyrometer with outer Ø 50 mm:<br />

For the measurement in high temperature area up to ca. 1600° C. Material: Titanium and<br />

Stainless Steel. The cooling water goes at first through a tube along the inner tube and after<br />

it at the outside wall. The thermocouple is in a separate liner that it can easy remove and<br />

cleaned. One gas tight connection for the thermocouple with Ø 3-4 mm. Water ports with<br />

fast connector for 19 mm hose and one closing valve. Gas port with G ¾ thread with fast<br />

connector for 13 mm hose. The ceramic shields are mounted in a bayonet socket and can<br />

changed very fast.<br />

2. Ceramic shields<br />

For the protection against the heat radiation can mounting with cement according VDI two<br />

ceramic shields or according to IFRF three ceramic shields in the bayonet socket and placed<br />

in the cooled front section of the pyrometer. The exchange of broken ceramic is now very<br />

easy. At the IFRF-Ceramics is the outer ceramic closed at the front, the sampling take place<br />

through a hole vertically to the gas flow. The inner ceramic surrounds complete the<br />

thermocouple. This caused thereby a slower temperature adjustment. For rough situations we<br />

can offer a bayonet socket with protection tube from heat resistance steal (up to 1200°C) in<br />

which the two VDI ceramics can placed.<br />

4. Cooling Coil:<br />

In case of short suction pyrometer the temperature of the sucked<br />

gases can be higher as 80°C and melt the connected hose. The<br />

5. Condensate trap<br />

The condensate from the cooled gas can be kept back with the drying<br />

tower to protect the suction parts. The gas flows in and out from the<br />

top. One PU-foam inside prevents that water can reach the exit.<br />

6. Ejector for the suction with pressed air<br />

For the correct measurement of the gas temperature must be the gas<br />

speed at the thermocouple more as 80 m/s. Ejectors are for this<br />

suction rates particularly well suited. The delivery volume depends<br />

on the pressure of the compressed air and the reduced pressure at the<br />

suction side. The delivery includes a pressure-reducing valve with<br />

compressed-air link and pressure indication, a sleeve valve at the<br />

suction side for adjusting the suction volume and a sound absorber.<br />

This Prandtl-Tube is suitable for measurements in aggressive gases and can be used without any<br />

correction-factor (VDI 2640, page 3). The velocity can calculate with a simple formula (see box). For<br />

the total pressure is the hole at the tip of the nose. The static pressure is three head-diameters from the<br />

tip. The difference pressure can be measured with a pressure-sensing device. The L-Pitot Tube<br />

described in ISO 10780 has a longer leg and can also be ordered to the same price like the Prandtl-<br />

Pitot-Tube. In this case use instead of the index "PR" the index "L", the Art.-number remains.<br />

With the extensible Pitot-tubes 40 x 1 mm can make velocity measurements in big chimneys<br />

without any transportation-problems.<br />

The Prandtl- or S-Pitot-Tube has 1'' external thread. The extensions can screwed easy together<br />

in the length you want.<br />

The exit of the pressure-tubes at the Prandtl- or S-Pitot -Tube can deliver with outer-Ø 6 mm<br />

smoothly, with hose-olive or with Swagelok connections. If hoses are used, they lie loose<br />

inside the extensions. The operating-temperature is dependent on the material of the hoses<br />

(silicone: 60 ..+ 180°C; Teflon (PTFE and PFA): -200 ..+ 260°C; Viton: -70 ..+ 300°C).<br />

If Swagelok-connections are chosen, stainless steel-inside-tubes (6 x 1 mm) can used for the<br />

pressure (up to 600°C).<br />

The Gothe gas sample probes can use for<br />

continuous gas sampling in high dust content,<br />

temperatures and humidity. The probe can<br />

combine with one preliminary filter and a main<br />

heated filter with can change without dismounting<br />

the complete gas sample probe.<br />

Designed is this probe for easy installation,<br />

reliable operation, trouble-free maintenance and<br />

universal applicability. Depending on the<br />

application, different prefilters with G ½ thread<br />

and main filter, not included in the scope of<br />

delivery of the probe, can used.<br />

The main filter element is placed in housing with<br />

low stagnant space and can exchange with simple<br />

tools and it is not necessary to remove the sample<br />

line, thus avoiding contamination of the clean gas<br />

path and also maintaining the integrity of the<br />

system.<br />

The special high performance heating cartridge<br />

permits controlled heating of the complete filter<br />

housing and probe up to 300°C. This ensures<br />

reliable operation external to the process<br />

preventing the temperature falling below the dewpoint,<br />

as requested 180°C in the Standard.<br />

The droplet probe can use for the measurement of the droplet diameter behind wet separators.<br />

Impaction plate drawn back<br />

This is a probe for the impactor method according<br />

to VDI 3679, part 3, section 5.3.2.1 to measure<br />

the sizes from water droplets in a gas flow.<br />

The impaction plate are exposed to the dropletladen<br />

gas stream for a defined period of time in<br />

such a way that the gas flow is orthogonal to the<br />

impaction plate, i.e. they makes use of the droplet<br />

velocity for sampling.<br />

The impactor plate is coated with fine particulate<br />

layer from MgO or soot so that the droplets are<br />

visualized as craters. The correlation between the<br />

crater diameter and the causal drop diameter must<br />

be determined by calibration tests.<br />

These calibration tests are not in the delivery<br />

capacity.<br />

The impactors are then microscopically evaluated<br />

by a classifying count of the droplet traces. This<br />

method can use for droplets bigger as 5 - 15 µm.<br />

Attention, no manual for the calibration tests or<br />

for the measuring methods in the delivery<br />

capacity.<br />

Information to the sealing-material:<br />

Aramid-composite material: Aramid<br />

(known as Kevlar) is a high<br />

temperature-stable aromatic Polyamide<br />

fibre. These fibre don't melt, it is<br />

resistant against acids and organic<br />

solvents. Through admix of softeners<br />

(e.g. Rubber) the fibre stuck together<br />

and can use as seals. This mixture loses<br />

their softeners from 150°C and<br />

becomes fragile. The function as seal is<br />

still given until 400°C. After this<br />

thermal treatment, the seal can use not<br />

a second time, they are too brittle. By<br />

the treatment with graphite, the<br />

evaporation of the softeners is clearly<br />

delayed and the seal consequently<br />

reach a longer temperature-stability.<br />

Nyhalit: Material of Nyhalit becomes<br />

fragile at application until 300°C and<br />

cannot use a second time.<br />

Teflon: Teflon is thermal stable until<br />

250°C, becomes very soft from 200°C<br />

however and cannot use as a safe seal.<br />

Whitworth Pipe Thread for pipes and fittings. Parallel<br />
