The subject for all categories is MY WORLD<br />

There are 2 age groups in each category. CHILD 7-15 & YOUTH 16 - 21<br />

• Child / Youth Painter - to produce an image no larger than A2.<br />

• Child / Youth Photographer - to produce an image no larger than A2.<br />

• Child / Youth 3D Sculptor - please send /email photographs for the first round of judging.<br />

• Child / Youth DIGITAL ART - design a digital piece on a computer or tablet.<br />

• Child / Youth MUSICIAN - to produce a 2 minute original musical piece recorded and sent on CD.<br />

Each category will be judged by a panel of professional artists who have a knowledge of each subject.<br />

These will include representatives of the MFPA Trust Fund and Rotary International.<br />

Rules Of Entry<br />

1. ALL entrants for the competition must have a DISABILITY of some kind.<br />

2. A person may only submit one entry in each category. All entries must be on the theme of MY<br />

WORLD and other themes will be excluded from the competition by the head judge.<br />

3. Each entrant will need to fill out the application form for the category he or she would like to enter,<br />

downloaded from our <strong>web</strong>site.<br />

4. Parents / Guardian or School Teacher MUST sign the Application Form.<br />

5. All entrants must download, complete and email back an entry form with ALL Sections filled in. The<br />

emailed COMPLETED FORM and the IMAGE Jpeg must BOTH have the Entrants NAME for reference.<br />

6. Entry forms and jpg images should be emailed to: entry@uniqueartawards.uk<br />

Any entries emailed without the entrants name will not be included in the competition.<br />

7. Submissions must be received between 20th January and June 20th 2017.<br />

Arts teacher in special education award<br />

We would also like to recognise the work done by teachers in the arts in special education and would like<br />

to offer an award to highlight excellence in this field which includes Art, Drama and Music. We would<br />

ask Schools and Colleges to enter this category by sending a written paper outlining why the nominated<br />

Teacher deserves the Award and how he or she goes ‘above and beyond’ their normal teaching duties.<br />

No more than 1500 words please. It would be great if you can include statements from students.<br />

prizes<br />

There will be three finalists from each age group in each of the five categories -<br />

Bronze (3rd) Silver (2nd) and Gold (1st).<br />

Each finalist will receive a certificate and a £50 Great Art Voucher, or category related equivalent.<br />

The prizes for the top three winners overall are:<br />

3rd Place - £250 in vouchers and £1,000 for their school.<br />

2nd Place - £500 in vouchers and £2,000 for their school.<br />

1st Place - £1,000 in vouchers and £3,000 for their school.<br />

Art Teacher Award - £2,000 vouchers, or equivalent for other department winners.<br />

All finalists will be invited to a presentation ceremony in October 2017 where the top three overall<br />

winners will receive their prizes.<br />
