TSOP FAMILY, it is a blessing in this season in the
Body of Christ! I am honored that he Lord has chosen
me to lead this local ministry. While you all trust in
Him I am anointed for such a time as this!
The Lord is moving us right now from glory to glory.
We are in the midst of spiritual and physical growth,
which is indeed a glorious blessing. I am also
excited that we have begun our
TSOP CAMPUS CAMPAIGN 2019. It will be a great
task, but the Lord commanded me over in 1 Chronicles “do it”!
I want to encourage everyone to press forward in Him as we begin fasting the
first week of every month starting in June from 6am to 6pm at least for the
next six months. I am expecting greater in Him therefore, we must work in
service unto Him. I am exciting about what the Lord is revealing and I want to
make sure all of us are operating in Him and not in ourselves.
“And let the peace of Christ rule in your
hearts, to which indeed you were called in one
body. And be thankful.”
Sis. Angelina George and Sis. Ruth Hanchell
What is your understanding about the holidays? What “religious” traditions do you follow? How do
these and other holidays, beliefs, signs, and rituals compare to our faith and walk in Jesus Christ?
TSOP’s Teachable Moments Ministry will provide tidbits of information on how various holidays,
associations, and beliefs were sewn into the “fabric” of the Church, and accepted as truth. The mission of
this ministry is to unveil and alert the faithful of how the world has infiltrated the church with worldly
celebrations, teachings, and deceptions. Take the time to read and research the information in TSOP’s
Teachable Moments. Coming soon … right here at TSOP!
On Friday April 29 th , Secret Church began with much anticipation as
the focus country for this year’s event, India, was also one of the
nations that sent a request to our Pastor for assistance in spreading
the Gospel.
About 15-20 of our members joined together to pray and study The
Word of God. The topic for this year was “A Global Gospel in a World
of Religions”.
We studied the various religions worldwide and how we as
Christians can respond to each of those religions with The Gospel of
Jesus Christ.
What is most profound about the churches in these nations is that the persecuted Christians do not pray
for God to end the persecution, but instead they pray to be strengthened and that the Gospel will spread
even further! Let us get behind them and pray for the Mighty Move of God to continue with them. It is
our prayer that the teaching from Secret Church will not sit in our hearts, but that it will be utilized to
reach the lost and to teach among other believers.
Follow-up to the event will be in the
will walk in what we have learned.
coming months with an opportunity to share and discuss how we
Please be sure to join us—even if you did not attend Secret Church! For teaching material or more
Saturday, May 7th, at Edward Medard Park, 11a – 4p
If you missed our 3 rd Annual Family and Friend’s Day, hosted by our Men’s Ministry, you missed nothing
short of a loving family reunion. The weather and location at Edward Medard Park proved to be a perfect
setting to fellowship and feast on all the delicious food our TSOP men served.
Undoubtedly, it would not be a TSOP family event, if you did not feel and see a contagious outpouring of
love evident on each smiling face, accompanied by warm TSOP hugs. There was something for the young
and the young at heart to enjoy, including various games that some of us have not played in a while. The
Double Dutch rookies were jumping, the kickball game on the field, hoola-hoops hoops twirling and card games
under the tree and basketball were just some of the fun-filled events.
Thanks again to our Men’s Ministry for always serving in excellence. We appreciate all of your hard
work and anxiously anticipate a repeat next year!
THE TSOP TIMES
SUMMER 2016
This year, the National Day of Prayer event was held on, Thursday, May 5, 2016, 3pm-8pm.
Brother Joe Rios led those who attended each hour in prayer and encouraged the prayers of the saints on
behalf of our families, the nation, the Body of Christ, youth and the world.
Brother Joe often speaks of prayer as the glue to bind a church together with God and with one another.
He exhorts us with 1 Thessalonians 5:17, reminding us to pray without ceasing.
Not only that, Brother Joe makes it his business to live this out before us,
constantly making intercession for the saints.
National Day of Prayer is an opportunity for TSOP to join with churches and
believers around the country to pray on behalf of the nation. There are many
things we see in the natural that have spiritual impact and we need to be in
prayer to cover homes, families, marriages, church leaders, and children. It is
through prayer that strongholds are broken, deliverance of the captives occurs
and new converts are brought into the Body of Christ. It is with prayer that we
discern the will of the Father.
Let us be committed to be a church that prays without ceasing! Amen.
The TSOP Prayer Line, 1-641-715-0700 Access
Code 646281, is open the first full week of each month M-F @ 6am!
Send prayer requests to intercessors@tsopchurch.org
8But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal
food and wine, and he asked the chief official for
permission not to defile himself this way. 9 Now God had
caused the official to show favor and compassion to
Daniel, 10 but the official told Daniel, “I am afraid of my
lord the king, who has assigned your food and drink. Why
should he see you looking worse than the other young
men your age? The king would then have my head
because of you.” 11 Daniel then said to the guard whom
the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah,
Mishael and Azariah, 12 “Please test your servants for ten
days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to
drink. 13 Then compare our appearance with that of the
young men who eat the royal food, and treat your
servants in accordance with what you see.” 14 So he
agreed to this and tested them for ten days.
15At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and
better nourished than any of the young men who ate the
royal food. 16 So the guard took away their choice food
and the wine they were to drink and gave them
vegetables instead. 17 To these four young men God gave
knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature
and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and
dreams of all kinds.
Personal Approach Toward Health
God is always speaking, and it is our goal to be still and hear His voice. As we
continue our P.A.T.H toward Divine Health, let’s pause for a moment to gain
a better understanding of our health.
According, to the World Health Organization, health is a state of complete
physical, mental and social well-being. Gods Divine Health moves us into position
that goes beyond man’s limitations, and taps into the unlimited power of God so that
we can experience His very best for our lives. It is my desire that we continue to seek
Gods direction for His temple and walk in obedience. Grow spiritually, think
heavenly enly and move physically!
Our youth are on fire for the Lord and one place where
we see this fire kindled is in the Wednesday night
Bible school for youth ages 5-12 led by Elder Jesse
Mitchell.
Kendal Coulbertson states, “We are currently studying
the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5.” When asked
about how the Wednesday night sessions have
impacted her, she says “It gives us stuff to look
forward to. Reading the different chapters of Galatians
and when we go outside of church it shows me how I
should treat other people, even when they don’t treat
me correctly. When other people ask me why I am
treating them [kindly], I get to tell them why. Because
God commanded us to love one another, the way that
we love ourselves. This is a reference to Mark 12:31. “
She says, “We have a lot of new kids, which is ‘cool’
because we get to learn with new people and it’s not
just the same people coming each week. It shows that
we are learning something and we are hungry for
more. Elder makes it easy for us to understand what
the Scripture means, so that we can apply it to our
lives.” Out of the mouth of babes!
Elder Mitchell’s requests for the Youth Bible Class
1) Youth need to bring their swords (The Bible) and
2) Parents review with the children so that we are
all studying to show ourselves approved.
If a young person is interested in attending this class,
membership is not required! Just come with a parent
on Wednesday nights, bring your Bible and a journal
or notebook.
If you do not have these things, please let Elder
Mitchell or one of the ministers know, we will be
happy to work with you to get them!
