Original Student Design and Artwork
Educators and parents should not approve any student's work if they have any doubt as to
its authenticity or originality. Copyright infringement is a serious issue and you are responsible for
helping your student avoid plagiarism. By signing the entry form the student, parent, and
supervising educator are all stating that the entry is the student’s own original creation and idea and
does not violate another person’s property rights.
Students in all grade groups should review the original design requirements on page 8.
Contest Deadlines
Artwork with entry and reference forms must be postmarked by midnight of your state's
deadline. See deadlines under your state coordinator's contact information on pages 22-24.
Send entries and forms to your state’s Junior Duck Stamp State Coordinator (see pages
of their school.) For students attending school abroad, send the entry to the coordinator in
the state of the student’s legal residence.
