LONDON VISITS AND WALKS Decorative Art Five Wednesdays from 1 March to 29 March 4.30 – 6pm £75 Create your own patterns inspired by the decorative arts of Vanessa Bell and The Bloomsbury Group. Develop your drawing and sculpting skills and create your own decorative papier mache bowls and pot designs. With artist Jo Veevers Half Term Courses: 6 – 9 YRS: Self–portraits in the classical style Two days Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 February 10.30am – 12.30pm Take inspiration from the Gallery’s old master paintings and create your own unique self–portrait finished in a "gilded" frame. With artist Liz Charsley – Jory 10 – 12 YRS: DPG in CMY (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) Two days Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 February 2 – 4pm Using a layered printing process, create exciting interpretations of the Gallery’s masterpieces. By overlaying the CMY colours, red, green and purples will appear, revealing surprising images at the last moment! Meet new people, work with a professional artist and engage in lively discussion as you challenge the role of Galleries for young people today – what they represent and who they’re for. Working in the Gallery you will explore universal themes such as love, power, beauty and equality using the collection and temporary exhibitions as your stimuli. Treat yourself to a healthy and hearty breakfast which includes chia and oat porridge and smashed avocado on sourdough. For the late risers, relax over brunch with family and friends. Union Roasted Coffee The café has partnered with Union Roasted Coffee to provide the perfect beans to match the new breakfast menu. Craft Beers Sample craft beers from local Herne Hill micro-brewery, Canopy Beer.
