Hannah Morgan - Oboe<br />
Hannah Morgan studied with Melanie Ragge at the Royal Academy<br />
of Music and graduated in 2013 with First Class Honours. Her postgraduate<br />
studies included three years in Germany where, as a member<br />
of the Karajan Academy, she studied with Jonathan Kelly and performed<br />
regularly with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra with Sir Simon Rattle.<br />
Hannah is also the recipient of numerous prizes, including the Hattori<br />
Foundation Senior Award, Leila Bull Oboe Prize and 1st Prize (the Evelyn<br />
Rothwell Memorial Prize) at the Third International Barbirolli Competition.<br />
As a selected musician for the Tillett Trust Young <strong>Artist</strong>s’ Platform and<br />
Countess of Munster Recital Scheme, she regularly gives recitals and<br />
concerto performances across the UK and made her debut at Wigmore<br />
Hall in November <strong>2016</strong>.<br />
Hannah is enthusiastic about music education, recently writing and<br />
directing five children’s concerts for the Berlin Philharmonic. She played<br />
Principal Oboe in the premiere of Jonathan Dove’s Opera, Monster in the<br />
Maze, and also alongside the Soma Children’s Orchestra for a project<br />
organised by El Sistema Japan. She has been a tutor for the National Youth<br />
Wind Ensemble of Great Britain, regularly runs schools’ workshops and<br />
recently accepted an Open Academy Fellowship at the Royal Academy of<br />
Music for the <strong>2016</strong>-17 season.<br />
