He began his career in the construction industry when the KUALA LUMPUR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KLIA) was still in the
process of being built. Notwithstanding the fact that he was a fresh graduate from the NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF MALAYSIA
pride - the PETRONAS TWIN TOWER and subsequently in the MALACCA SUNGAI UDANG REFINERY for Petronas and the
SEGARI POWER PLANT projects.
Due to the successes in his areas of responsibilities for these projects, many more power and telecommunications assignments followed suit. In the
late 1990’s, he made a conscious decision to expand his horizon and moved on to the Sales & Marketing industry; returning to his study-area-ofspecialisation
while at university.
Dato’ Vicks, who has never been afraid of getting his hands in the thick of action no matter how humble a task might be, embraced his modest start
in the Sales and Marketing arena as a Digital Sales Specialist at INCHCAPE MALAYSIA. He made a conscious decision to take up a Microsoft
Professional certification as he moved on to be the Network Support Specialist with SHARP ROXY Malaysia; a position he held on for 7 years. He
