For three days, the studio of the Immensee
company Feuerring hosted an event which
could be savoured with all the senses: a
fine wood fire showed the way from afar as
guests arrived, delicious culinary smells
wafted past as they came closer, the colourful
opulence of the Feuerrings in operation
delighted the eye … with paella, whole fish,
roasting meat and a dazzling array of vegetables.
And of course taste buds were set
tingling too as the evening was spent sampling,
feasting and enjoying.
No party would be complete without the right background
music. “You can tell the original by the sound,” was one of
the first things Judith Gmür-Stalder said when she initially
got to know the Feuerring. And, as the Küssnacht musician
and winner of a Canton of Schwyz cultural award, Roland
Bucher, demonstrated at the vernissage, this is no exaggeration.
He recorded sounds at four Feuerrings and improvised
along live: An almost mystical resonance delighted the
hundreds of guests who indulged in sensory pleasures over
three days and, together with the Feuerring Team, raised
their glasses to two fantastic cookbooks, Feuer & Ring,
which can only be described as all-round successes!
