"...I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works".
Psalms 9:1
PRAISE WALKS WITH VICTORY
Psalm 9 is a great victory psalm. "I will praise You, O Lord, with my
whole heart; I will tell of all your marvelous works" I must confess that
there are times when I don't praise the Lord with my whole heart. I
can remember times I've stood in church or even at home singing a
great song of praise but not with my whole heart. The best way to have
victory is to praise the Lord wholeheartedly.
Whenever it's hard for you to praise God, just think of Paul and Silas
in Prison. They were humiliated, beaten and thrown into prison with
their bodies hurting. YET they were WHOLEHEARTEDLY praising
the Lord. Paul and Silas praised God even when their backs were
bleeding and their feet and hands were in chains. Despite the pain and
suffering they were going through, they praised God anyway; and as
they shook the heavens, God shook the very foundations of the prison.
When the praises go up, the glory comes down. It's that simple. If we
are going to see the necessary breakthrough in our personal lives, we
need to understand the power of praising God Wholeheartedly.
May we praise God not only in the good times but also in the bad times.
Because He is the God of the good times and the bad times. Shalom
