2/ BIOGRAPHY<br />
Stéphane Galland obtains academic degrees in the Computer Science: university degree<br />
on technology (1995) at Belfort (France), bachelor (1996-1997) and research master<br />
(1998) at the University <strong>of</strong> Besancon (France). Stéphane Galland supports a PhD thesis<br />
in 2001 at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne (France) to obtain<br />
the title <strong>of</strong> Doctor. The subject <strong>of</strong> his thesis is a methodological approach for the design<br />
and the realization <strong>of</strong> multi-agent simulations <strong>of</strong> distributed industrial systems. In 2002, he<br />
integrates the Computer Science Department <strong>of</strong> the Université de Technologie de Belfort-<br />
Montbéliard (France) where he is responsible <strong>of</strong> several ”Image, Interaction and Virtual<br />
reality” courses. In 2002 also, Stéphane Galland integrates the Laboratoire Systèmes et<br />
Transports (SeT) where he continues his research task on the topic <strong>of</strong> multi-agent simulation<br />
<strong>of</strong> complex systems (cities, highway networks, crowd...) with a large scale and a<br />
multi-view points <strong>of</strong> view, and applied to virtual reality environment.<br />
