is a unique race that takes runners on an<br />
interactive course featuring obstacles & stations<br />
that are themed around a certain era in time.
WHY WE RACE<br />
Every race is held to raise<br />
funds for a selected<br />
charity. A different charity<br />
will be selected each year.<br />
CHOOSE YOUR<br />
OWN ADVENTURE<br />
Racers will have the opportunity to choose<br />
from different activities throughout the<br />
race. For those who want to run straight<br />
through, they can skip the activities and<br />
still enjoy the aesthetic experience. And<br />
for those who would like to experience a<br />
fun challenge (like bouncing through an<br />
inflatable or army-crawling in the sand),<br />
the course will be designed to direct them<br />
through each activity.
WHEN WE RACE<br />
The race will be held in<br />
the Fall season every<br />
year, starting Fall 2017.<br />

Sponsors can become<br />
involved in the race<br />
monetarily, by donating<br />
items and resources, or by<br />
adopting their own station.<br />
Each station will be built<br />
and directed by special<br />
sponsors. These stations will<br />
include signage, decoration,<br />
costumes, and music.
THE POST-RACE PARTY<br />
After the race, a celebration will take place<br />
and will be themed around the chosen era<br />
for that year. This includes music, medal<br />
& prize stations, recovery stations, and<br />
sponsor booths.
This year’s theme is “The 80s!” Throughout the course, racers will see and<br />
hear iconic elements from the 80s for a fun, nostalgic run at the Oceanfront.<br />
FUTURE FOR HAITI<br />
In the past decade, the nation of Haiti has been hit hard by catastrophic storms that<br />
left devastating living conditions. Scarcity of clean water and other simple essentials<br />
has led to diseases like lymphatic filariasis (commonly known as elephantiasis)<br />
and iodine deficiency disorders. There is much need for rebuilding and restoring a<br />
healthy, sustainable livelihood for its people. With help from the community, this race<br />
was started to help raise funds for the resources necessary for fighting prevalent<br />
diseases and creating a better future for the people of Haiti.<br />
