THE TIME
TRAVEL 5K
is a unique race that takes runners on an
interactive course featuring obstacles & stations
that are themed around a certain era in time.

WHY WE RACE
Every race is held to raise
funds for a selected
charity. A different charity
will be selected each year.
CHOOSE YOUR
OWN ADVENTURE
Racers will have the opportunity to choose
from different activities throughout the
race. For those who want to run straight
through, they can skip the activities and
still enjoy the aesthetic experience. And
for those who would like to experience a
fun challenge (like bouncing through an
inflatable or army-crawling in the sand),
the course will be designed to direct them
through each activity.

WHEN WE RACE
The race will be held in
the Fall season every
year, starting Fall 2017.
SPONSORING
THE RACE
Sponsors can become
involved in the race
monetarily, by donating
items and resources, or by
adopting their own station.
Each station will be built
and directed by special
sponsors. These stations will
include signage, decoration,
costumes, and music.

THE POST-RACE PARTY
After the race, a celebration will take place
and will be themed around the chosen era
for that year. This includes music, medal
& prize stations, recovery stations, and
sponsor booths.

This year’s theme is “The 80s!” Throughout the course, racers will see and
hear iconic elements from the 80s for a fun, nostalgic run at the Oceanfront.
FUTURE FOR HAITI
In the past decade, the nation of Haiti has been hit hard by catastrophic storms that
left devastating living conditions. Scarcity of clean water and other simple essentials
has led to diseases like lymphatic filariasis (commonly known as elephantiasis)
and iodine deficiency disorders. There is much need for rebuilding and restoring a
healthy, sustainable livelihood for its people. With help from the community, this race
was started to help raise funds for the resources necessary for fighting prevalent
diseases and creating a better future for the people of Haiti.
