“My name is Sonja, but I am known as The National Parks Girl on my social media<br />
channels. I was born and raised in Madison, WI, and while I moved around the US a<br />
little bit after I graduated college I’m currently back in Wisconsin!<br />
In the past few years I’ve found a passion for anything that gets me outside: hiking,<br />
camping, backpacking, skiiing, you name it! While I enjoy something as simple as a<br />
walk around the block, my favorite place to get outside is in our national parks, as<br />
you can probably infer from my social media monkier! The wilderness areas we have<br />
set aside in our country are far more beautiful than anything I could dream up and I<br />
appreciate every moment I spend in our national parks and other public lands. When<br />
I’m not outside it’s likely I’m on my computer researching future trips. I search the<br />
internet high and low, spending hours reading blogs and trip reports in order to plan<br />
