OptiFiber ® Pro OTDR
Built for the Enterprise
OptiFiber Pro is the first OTDR built from the
ground up for enterprise fiber optic cabling
testing. OptiFiber Pro is focused on reducing
costs while enhancing productivity and
improving network reliability.
• First OTDR with a smartphone userinterface
• Industry's shortest event and attenuation
dead zones
• Accelerate fiber certification with the
fastest set-up and trace times
• SmartLoop technology enables the testing of two fibers in a single test eliminating
the need to travel to the far end of the connection to perform tests.
• Versiv modular design supports copper certification, fiber optic loss, OTDR testing
and fiber end-face inspection
• Instantaneous bi-directional averaging results included at no charge
• Improve resource utilization with custom configurations for projects and users
• Simplify use with "DataCenter OTDR" mode and EventMap view
• Compatible with Linkware Live. Linkware Live enables to easily track job progress,
get real-time access to test results to quickly fix problems in the field, and easily
transfer and consolidate test results from the tester to LinkWare PC Cable Test
Management Software.
OptiFiber® Pro is the industry’s first OTDR built from the ground up to meet the challenges
of enterprise fiber optic infrastructures. This troubleshooting and certification tool combines
uncomplicated power, unparalleled efficiency and the exact functions needed for
troubleshooting campus, data center and storage fiber networks.
The OptiFiber® Pro OTDR elevates fiber optic testing with the industry’s only smartphone
interface that turns a technician into a fiber expert. The DataCenter OTDR configuration
eliminates uncertainty and errors that occur when testing data center fiber. Its ultra-short dead
zones enable testing of fiber patchcords in virtualized data centers. These capabilities, plus the
fastest-in-the-industry trace times, make the OptiFiber Pro OTDR a must-have tool.

SmartLoop OTDR enables automated testing and analysis of two fibers in a single test. This
patent pending process automatically separates the two fibers for individual pass/fail analysis,
display, and reporting. Not only does this cut the testing time by at least half, it also enables
bi-directional testing without moving the OTDR to the far end.
FI-7000
FiberInspector Pro
1-second automated PASS/FAIL
certification of fiber optic connector endfaces
• Automated Pass/Fail certification of
fiber optic connector end-faces
• Graphical indication of problem areas
due to contamination, pits, chips, and
scratches
• Certify to industry standards - IEC
61300-3-35
• Eliminate human subjectivity from
fiber optic connector end-face
measurements
• Save fiber optic connector end-face
views during certification process
• Versiv modular design supports
copper certification, fiber optic loss, OTDR testing and fiber end-face inspection
Fiber optic connector end-face contamination is a leading cause of fiber failures. Dirt and
contaminant cause insertion loss and back-reflection that inhibits optical transmission and
causes havoc with transceivers. Fiber loss and OTDR testing can expose this problem, but in
many cases, dirty connections make fiber testing time consuming and inaccurate.
Since dirt can be an issue before, during, or after fiber optic certification testing, and migrate
from one fiber optic connector end-face to another upon mating, both sides of any connection
must always be cleaned and inspected. Further, mating contaminated fiber optic connectors
can cause permanent damage as microscopic debris is crushed between end-faces in physical
contact. Even factory terminated patch cords or pigtails must be inspected as protective caps
do not keep fiber optic connector end-faces clean. Avoiding this common cause of failure,
starts with inspecting the fiber optic connector end-face and eliminating any contamination
before insertion into a bulkhead or piece of equipment.
The FI-7000 FiberInspector Pro is a fiber optic inspection scope that allows you to inspect and
certify fiber optic connector end-faces in 1 seconds so you can get the job done the first time.
This fiber optic inspection scope provides automated PASS/FAIL certification take the guess
work out of fiber inspection so anyone can be a fiber expert.
