Warren County and project partners will<br />
implement goals established in the First<br />
Wilderness Heritage Corridor Plan in Warren<br />
and Saratoga Counties. Projects include<br />
trail and parking construction, a covered<br />
passenger shelter at Corinth Station, a<br />
feasibility study for North Creek Ski Bowl<br />
trail connections, streetscape improvements<br />
around the North Creek Train Station,<br />
development of tourism materials, and<br />
improvements to the Pottersville water<br />
supply system to address flooding.<br />
Hubbard Hall Center for the Arts and<br />
Education will expand its Program Director<br />
position to full-time in order to better<br />
serve students and community members<br />
with greater programming opportunities<br />
throughout Washington County and the<br />
Capital Region.<br />
Grant funds will be used to create Phase II<br />
of the Washington County Arts Marketing<br />
Campaign and Festival in 2017, in order to<br />
raise the profile of the Washington County<br />
region and attract new visitors and residents<br />
alike, aimed at drawing those interested<br />
in the higher quality of life available in<br />
Washington County.<br />
Morcon, Inc. will provide three levels of<br />
training programs: Supervisory Leadership<br />
Skills, Train the Trainer, and New Hire,<br />
to enhance the skills for workers in the<br />
manufacturing field. The training programs<br />
will ensure that future hires are trained,<br />
mentored, and receive the support to be<br />
successful and productive employees of<br />
Morcon.<br />
The Town of Granville will complete a<br />
feasibility study and preliminary concepts<br />
for the gaps of the D&H Rail Trail in New<br />
York, a nearly 16 mile intermunicipal and<br />
interstate rail trail in the Town and Village of<br />
Granville and the Town of Salem, linking to<br />
Vermont’s existing 20+ mile D&H Rail Trail.<br />
The resulting trail network will connect New<br />
York and Vermont communities, provide<br />
alternative transportation and healthy<br />
recreation opportunities, and support<br />
economic development and tourism.<br />
Funds will be used to complete a Preliminary<br />
Wastewater Engineering Study to evaluate a<br />
new collection and treatment system.<br />
Funds will be used to make improvements to<br />
the wastewater treatment facility.<br />
The Village of Greenwich will assist in the<br />
renovation of the Wallie's of Greenwich<br />
building located at 54 Main Street in<br />
Greenwich. The renovation project will<br />
restore the iconic restaurant that was once<br />
an anchor for the Village's commercial<br />
