MAI KHAO BEACH.<br />
It’s rightly the spotting location for excellence, a place that looks like<br />
the most famous St. Marteen’s Maho Beach. So we start from this<br />
point, not before you got the Google Maps coordinates (remember this<br />
tip: Google Maps is a great ally to organize spotting sessions in not<br />
known places): 8 ° 06’08.2 “N 98 ° 18’02.0” E.<br />
To get Mai Khao, you have to reach Nai Yang beach, but since most<br />
taxi drivers will take you about 1 km from our coordinates that you<br />
want, ask them to go to the Himaphan or Perennial resort. From that<br />
resortsyou’ll have the beac far only 100 meters. You can reach the<br />
beach also from North, but it would be farther than a few kilometers.<br />
I would not recommend the focal use. The beach is several kilometers<br />
long and it is deserted, so you are free to position yourselves where<br />
you like. I’m used to take shot with a wide angle lens and position<br />
myself rather below the final glide path.<br />
