There are several ways of effectively presenting your brand on 

a promotional umbrella. Subtly – with design elements that 

characterize your company. Or confidently show your 

company colours with a discreet logo – even in places 

where no one would expect it. Positive effect guaranteed.

Long live colour! 

Above all the colour of the cover. Most umbrella models are 

available in various shades. If you can't find your colour: We 

can also make an individually refined cover fabric of your 

choice. And the frame 1 and shaft do not necessarily have 

to be polished chrome or galvanised black. You can choose 

the colour according to your own liking. You can even colour 

coordinate the Soft-Touch handle, which is made of an 

entirely different material. Be bold – we would be happy to 

show you which creations and combinations are possible. A 

contrast-coloured seam 2 also makes an elegant statement 

by emphasising individual segments or a closing section. It is 

particularly effective if it is combined with the same coloured 

piping or tops, handles and closing straps. 

Sleeve 3 

The value of a sleeve should not be underestimated. After all, it 

not only protects the umbrella, it also prevents other objects, 

such as USB sticks, lipsticks and keys from getting caught in 

the umbrella's folds... It is therefore perfect when this helpful 

protective cover is lovingly designed to match the umbrella. 

Do you want the sleeve to be merely pulled over the umbrella, 

or would you like to add a press stud, Velcro strap or rubber 

string or drawstring? 

A shoulder strap can be very useful for carrying regular and golf 

umbrellas. Of course, we would be pleased to offer suggestions 

on which design and fittings would go best with which umbrella. 

Printed cover 4 

The cover provides the largest surface for designing individual and 

effective advertising. You can print one, several or all segments 

with the same or alternating motifs. We also offer an innovative 

printing technique which lets you make use of the entire surface 5 . 

It also works great with delicate pastel colours – without the 

seams running through the image and offsetting it (for detailed 

information please refer to page 29). 

Optical effects are also very interesting, when the surface of the 

umbrella changes when it gets wet and new patterns, colours or 

logos appear. Another wonderful surprising effect is when the 

inside and the outside of the cover have different motifs.

Handle 

Crook handles made of genuine wood are true 

evergreens for elegant umbrellas and are always 

very popular. Handles with Soft-Touch coating are high 

in demand due to their pleasant feel. They are available in 

all possible shapes and there are no limits when it comes to choice 

of colour. Our range of products also includes handles with built-in 

bottle openers, flashlights or projection lights 6 . 

The shift knob will certainly make car fans happy and the handyman 

will love the idea of an umbrella with a screwdriver-shaped handle. 

Closing strap 7 

The closing strap doesn't necessarily have to have the same design as 

the cover. You can also choose a contrasting colour, feature a logo 

and claim or depict your own decoration. The closing strap is 

usually fastened with Velcro, but a press stud is also possible 

– whatever you like most.

A robust and carefully designed cardboard packaging offers 

optimum protection for your high-quality promotional 

umbrella. In addition, it also offers further space that you can 

use for promotional purposes. We create the optimum 

packaging for every model. 

Promotional labelling 

Besides various printing techniques, stickers are a frequently used 

option to put the company logo or icon on an umbrella. We also 

offer a range of variants in this respect as well: The doming 

process for instance creates a 3D effect that gives the colour a 

special depth and lustre. Doming stickers 9 are particularly 

durable. Umbrellas and bags can be cost-effectively and 

individually personalized with laser stickers 10 . Laser 

engraving is particularly suitable for elegant 

umbrella models. Filigree and with the 

highest degree of precision, this technique 

renders the finest lines and the tiniest 

details with perfection.

In April of 2016, Circus Roncalli celebrated its 40-year anniversary with a history full of acclaimed highlights, but also 

some difficult times. But Bernhard Paul, owner and director of Circus Roncalli, never let himself become discouraged 

and held onto his dream. This is something appreciated by the many people who have enjoyed one of 

the wonderful shows. The original Roncalli circus top has a diameter of 36.8 metres and is 

16 metres high at the highest point. The spectator area offers space for 1500 people and 

is based on Milan's Scala.

Even if a visit to Circus Roncalli is an unforgettable experience in the first place, the 

idea came about to give visitors to the birthday event a souvenir to take away: An umbrella 

in the characteristic shape of the Roncalli circus top, almost depicting a miniature version 

of the tent. 

A very special challenge 

Even if FARE ® has a range of 

models in various shapes in its 

programme, a cover in the shape 

of a circus top was an entirely new 

innovation. 

The AC regular umbrella Colorline (article 1083) 

ultimately proved to be the model where the basic shape 

could be changed particularly well. 

A special spring was developed to be inserted between the frame 

and umbrella top, to achieve the shape of a pagoda marquee. The top of 

the umbrella was created in the same way as the tent, and the umbrella cover 

was designed true to the original and provided with the famous Roncalli logo. 

And when you open it, it doesn't take long before you are gripped by 

circus fever and the world becomes a little bit magical.

FARE ® is committed to complying with the code of conduct that 

governs ethically unobjectionable supply chains. 

The aim is to improve working conditions by fostering responsible

the abolishment of forced and child labour. 

The code is based on the UN human rights declaration, the conventions 

of the international labour organisation ILO, the UN Global Compact

are equipped with a high-quality finish 

All FARE ® umbrellas are generally equipped to achieve the corresponding 

watertightnesss. An even better pearl-off effect or dirt-repellent properties 

are achieved with complex refinements, depending on the model: 

FARE ® -PEL – This fabric-protecting finish makes the cover highly 

durable and it is also water- and dirt-repellent, so that rain and dirt 

simply drip off. FARE ® -PEL is an exclusive FARE ® brand. 

Teflon fabric protector – Umbrellas equipped with this coating 

are water and dirt repellent. 

Nanotechnology – A nano-coating gives the umbrella cover a minutely 

rough structure which prevents dirt and water from sticking to 

the fabric and they simply pearl right off – this is the so-called lotus 

effect. This coating is absolutely sealed and promotes a particularly 

long-lasting product life.

To ensure strong, bright colours and good contrasts on coloured fabrics, 

you either need dual printing or printing with a white undercoat. 

The opacity of the applied colour is then increased considerably. 

White print colour: This requires a dual printing process that is 

calculated like 2-colour printing. Preliminary costs for film, set up 

and screen costs are only charged once per logo. 

Coloured prints: In this case, we work with a white undercoat. It is 

slightly smaller than the coloured motif to ensure that no white is visible. 

Costs are incurred for the additional print colour and the corresponding 

pre-printing costs. 

Exceptions: Printing on white umbrellas does not require the white 

undercoat. The colours silver, gold and black also have good opacity 

even without the added white undercoat.

Screen printing – White (double print) / Silver

Double print, white / white undercoat 

A white undercoat is required in most cases to guarantee brilliant 

colours and good contrasts. Visible white requires a double print. 

The coverage and brightness of the applied colour is then 

increased considerably. The result is a vivid printed image. 

1 1-colour print motif, white 

This requires a dual printing process (calculated like 2-colour 

printing) – Preliminary costs for film, set up and screen costs 

are only charged once per logo. 

Exception 

Printing with white on white umbrellas does not require the white 

undercoat. The colours silver, gold and black also have good 

coverage even without the white undercoat. 

2 1-colour print motif, silver 

The silver print colour can be implemented as 1-colour on all 

cover colours.
