CHIEF RABBAN
Nobles thank you for what you do. I
was elected three years ago by the
nobility of the Al Menah. My biggest
concern and goal is to serve
the nobility to the best of my ability
and I will continue to do just
that. The Divan has had a busy first
month installing officers, and getting
the ground work started for 2017.
I hope everyone had a great valentine’s day with your
lady and family. We have a busy schedule in the upcoming
months: the York Rite festival and Grand Lodge in
March and don’t forget the St. Patty’s Day parade in Erin,
TN. The Month of April will also be busy has well, it
starts off with the Potentate‘s Ball Saturday the 8 th . I also
hope everyone can make it to the Easter Egg Hunt on
Saturday the 15 th . At the end of the month will be the
Scottish Rite Reunion. Please make plans to attend.
ASSISTANT RABBAN
2017 is already flying by after a jampacked
month of January activities.
February looks to be equally as
busy and we are looking forward
to seeing many of you at our Shrine
Clubs and Temple activities. The
temple Valentine Party is always a
special occasion so be sure and bring
your Valentine!
I hope many of you are on the lookout for prospective
Shriners at your Blue Lodges as well as kids that
we could help at our hospitals. We can accomplish
both by raising community awareness of our Shrine
organization.
HIGH PRIEST AND PROPHET_______________________
This year is off to a fast start.
We have the Hillbilly Degree,
Valentine Party and Super Bowl
Party coming up, so I hope to
see everyone soon. The Divan
will be headed out to the area
shrine clubs this month, so if
there is a date or location change,
just let the office know.
A big thanks to all that turned out
to the Ambassador and Drive Meeting. It was well
attended and some great information was shared.
Congrats to the committee for putting together such
a great program.
Remember brothers, we all should be the example
for not just the shrine but all masonic bodies. We are
part of the greatest fraternity and philanthropy in the
world and our future nobles are always looking at
our actions. If you have any ideas about outreach
to increase membership awareness, just give our
Membership Chairman Sam Isbell or any Divan
Member a call.
ORIENTAL GUIDE_______________________________
I want to share with you a secret:
There’s a mason named Brother
Lanny Dunn who loves to help
our children. Brother Dunn
owns Cumberland Automotive
in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Turns out when the Shrine
needs to transport a patient
from Cookeville to our Hospitals,
Brother Dunn provides the van at no
charge. Now remember this is a secret--you can’t tell
a soul how a man who’s not a Shriner puts his money
where his mouth is and provides for our children.
How can we do any less? If you can take just one
day out of your busy schedule to drive a patient to
the hospital, call me. I’ll go with you. I don’t know
that Thank You half covers it Brother Dunn, but you
have our thanks and profound gratitude.
