Interview With Mr. Irvine
By Braydon Booth-Desmarais
1.What made you become a teacher?
There was a special teacher I had in sixth grade. He was a football coach for
the school and was always positive. I wanted to be like him more than
anything. I said that in the sixth grade and never looked back. Later, I
reached out to him in High School and he was honored to hear that I wanted
to be like him.
2. What subjects did you teach?
I taught every subject except Social Studies. I taught Math, Computers,
Science, English, Computer Programming, and more. My favorite was
Science.
3. How long did you work in schools?
I was a principal/assistant principal for 15 years, and I taught for 15 years.
I’ve been in the school systems for 30 years.
4. Where did you go to college?
I went to Boston College for my Masters and Framingham State for my
undergraduate. Then I transfered to Harvard Principal Institute. I met my wife
at Harvard. I now have two girls, Meredith and Amanda. They are 25 and 23.
5. Is it true you love sports?
Yes. I played basketball, baseball, football, ran indoor/outdoor track. I love
watching all sports. I would like to learn about soccer.

President
Have you ever wondered
what it is like to become the

President of America? Tim
used to, until he became it. It
seems perfectly wonderful,
doesn’t it? Not if it's
unwillingly.
It was election day of
2020. Everybody was hoping
that the rumor of Kanye West
becoming a president candidate
from their childhood would
become true. Sadly, it was
forgotten many years ago by
Kanye. Now, many citizens
awaited Election Day for the
feeling of contributing to
America’s history, besides Tim.
Tim is an average man, shaggy
brown hair, hazel eyes, and
casual clothing. Unfortunately,
he dislikes Election Day ever
since he was accused of voting
multiple times for his choice
last Election Day when,
however, it was his friend
Michael. This story will be told
from Tim’s pitiful point of
view...
You lay in your bed in
your apartment in upstate New
York. “BOO-” You smack you
alarm clock before it wakes up
the entire city. Sitting up, you
scratch your head and stretch
before getting some coffee.
Thumping down the stairs, you
glance at the calendar and your
mouth drops. “The 9th! Election
Day! ” is marked underneath
today’s date. You scramble back
up to your room while yelling
and throw on a nice suit with
black jeans and black socks.
You run back out of your room
but trip on your slippery
wooden floors. “AHHHH!” you
yell while sliding to the top and
down your stairs, until you hit
the hallway wall. You stand up
carefully and rub your back.
“It’s too early for this…” you
say while grabbing your shoes
and keys to your Toyota Camry.
Once in your car, you throw on
your shoes and start the engine.
“I hope there is enough time to
stop at Dunkin’s” you say while
pulling onto the street.
Exercise Inside
By Matthew O’Neill
It is clear that exercise is a vital importance to human
health, and the winter snow is not helping. It’s clear that we
need to exercise inside even though people think it’s hard.
That’s why it’s time to get up and exercise even in the comfort
of your bedroom. This chart shows the percentage out of 100
the indoor exercise people get. Now this may look fine, but
there are other things you could do such as swimming and sit
ups.
Grade Six Teacher Interview
By Sam Ferrage
Black Team Teachers, Mrs. O’Brien,
Mrs. Tanner, and Mr. Burton
Orange Team Teachers, Mrs. Landini,
Mrs. Dhosi, and Mr. Sweet
All these teachers are were kind and
answered my questions.
I asked what type of food they liked. Half
the teachers said Italian but there was a
few more. The three people that said
Italian were Mrs. O’Brien, Mrs. Dhosi, and
Mr. Sweet. Mrs. Tanner said seafood;
Mrs. Landini said Mexican; and Mr. Burton
said beef.
I also asked where they would like to live
in the future. Mr. Burton said he would like
to live on a lake in Montana. Mrs. Landini
said she would like to live in California.
Mrs. Tanner said that she would like to
live in Narragansett, RI. Mr Sweet said he
would like to stay in Milford where he is.
Mrs. Dhosi said if she could live
anywhere, she would live in Tennessee;
and last, but not least, Mrs. O’Brien said
she would like to live near family...and
near the beach.
The last question I asked was what
subject they would like to teach. All the
teachers answered with the subject they
currently teach! Mrs. Tanner and Dhosi
said Science; Mr. Burton and Sweet said
Math; and Mrs. O’Brien and Mrs. Landini
said ELA.
I want to say Thank You, Teachers,
for your time :)

MUSIC
RECOMMENDATIONS
BY JORDAN HUGHES
Gorillaz
If you’re a fan of animated
music videos with quirky
characters, then you most
definitely will love this
band. It’s a 90’s rock band
of animated characters:
Murdoc (top left), 2-D
(middle), Russel (top right),
Cyborg Noodle (bottom
left), and Noodle (bottom
right) and occasionally they
are joined by a blue
phantom named Del. As I
said before, the music
videos are animated and you
can tell that a lot of effort
and care went into them. I
highly recommend this
band; however, the only
flaw would be that the
music videos are quite
creative but also kind of
confusing.
Game Review: Stardew Valley
By Ryan Hallfelder
With the addition of Stardew Valley to
the Steam store around seven months
earlier, it seems i’m a bit late to the
party. Yet, I have an explanation. I’m a
mac owner, so when I found out that
this game existed, I was nevertheless
excited. Little did I know that the game
was only currently available for microsoft.
So I put it in the back of my mind and
held myself over with other games
(Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Hyper
Light Drifter, which are both great
games by the way) until it was finally
released for mac in July. With only a bit
of summer left, I bought it the minute
of release and played it for a day strait,
and in every minute of my free time,
with no regrets. Although I haven’t beat
the game in my sixty hours of game
time, I definitely wanted to review this
game. BUT THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS!
And although minimal, you DON’T want
have this game spoiled for you if you
plan to play it for yourself. Without
anything else, let’s begin. Much like
other games of its genre, the game
begins with the death of your beloved
grandfather. Cutting to a while later,
you’re stuck in a soul diminishing job as
you begin to notice how you despise your
industrial position and life. However,
remembering your grandfather’s final
wish, you open his mysterious envelope,
and find that he’s given you his old farm
in his home, Pelican Town in Stardew
Valley. Once you’ve arrived, you’re given
a few coins, some seeds, and old tools,
then you’re told to meet everyone in
town, harvest some parsnips, and meet
everyone in town. Although a bit
overwhelming at first, you eventually
learn the life of farming, making a
great profit and meeting friends along
the way. It sounds like a simple premise,
but there’s more than meets the eye, a
LOT more. There’s a mine with a
hundred floors of rare minerals, gems,
and enemies to defeat with a simple yet
fun combat system. Other things include
a unique fishing system, magic sprites
that offer you prices for bundles of
supplies, animals to raise, secret areas
to find, incredible pixel graphics, a
crafting system, achievements, a
marriage system, and much more. The
game is chock full of secrets, and the
replay value is high, Overall, the game is
an amazing play, with a mysterious and
compelling storyline with the same
organization you escaped here for. All of
this combined with relaxing music and
nostalgic premise will draw you into the
game, and I highly recommend it. For
final words, this game is amazing, but
something is even more amazing. All of
this is made by ONE person over the
course of six years. Great respect to
Eric Barone, also known as Concerne
Ape. In conclusion, Stardew Valley is a
truly great game, and you should really
check it out, even if you think farming
is not your style of game.
