He is the only French-bred stallion to lead the U.S. sire list, and he has done so twice. He is easily recognized 

as the most influential French sire in the history of modern U.S. Arabian racing. In addition, he was 

the leading broodmare sire by earnings in 2016 and is the broodmare sire of Darley Horse of the Year 

PADDYS DAY ($317,075, winner of the Triple Jewel bonus in 2015 and 2016). 

The solidly built chestnut was a son of the noted French sire Kesberoy and out of the mare Valse Du 

Cassou, whose second dam is the important French foundation mare Nevada II. 

Virgule Al Maury's best race horse to date has been MORE ADORAABLE ($228,904, Darley Champion 

twice), and he has also sired the major stakes winners NO SHOW JONES ($150,855), VIRAMIKA 

($108,561), and BUDDY OF MINE ($103,133). He is also the sire of the incredible ANVIRLIK, who made 

91 starts over 8 years. She won 14 races (5 stakes) and finished in the top 3 60% of the time. Anvirlik 

retired sound as the longest running female with the most starts of any mare in the U.S. 

To further prove his ability to produce sound horses, Virgule Al Maury is also siring exceptional endurance
