Masterclasses
The masterclass schedule for 2017 is a
significant addition to our established
education program at Canberra Glassworks,
a world-class artist access facility unlike any
other in the southern hemisphere.
Students will not only get the opportunity to develop new skills in
glass but will also have the benefit of sharing their experience and
expertise with makers from around the country and the world.
So often we work away in the solitude of our studios, only sharing
the final results in bodies of work for exhibition, and in a time when
so much can be viewed there is still no substitute for the experiences
gained from taking a workshop with a group of like-minded makers.
Each class is led by a skilled professional, and daily interactions
across the class, demonstrations, and discussions both during the
class and after hours, will be highly beneficial to your own practise.
National and international networks developed during a class often
create enduring friendships and a wealth of shared information.
Having taught for many years I am continually reminded that there
are always new ways of approaching making, of working with glass,
and of developing ideas and resolving works.
I hope to see you as part of the program in the future – come join the
