Collage<br />
Start with drawings and then add layers of color<br />
and texture to your ideas to create mosaic- like<br />
images. Magazines, pieces of fabric, and found<br />
objects will be available to cut, tear, and glue.<br />
Have fun watching your drawings come to life!<br />

Jewelry Design and<br />
Wearable Art<br />
Learn the process of designing and creating<br />
jewelry and clothing, such as bracelets, necklaces,<br />
earrings, and shirts. Create new pieces for your<br />
wardrobe using everything from duct tape and<br />
beads to safety pins and spray paint.<br />
Grades 2 - 5: Period 2<br />
Session: One or Two<br />

Drawing<br />
Learn drawing techniques and tricks. Explore point<br />
perspective, value, texture, and proportion. Then<br />
apply these elements in still life, landscape, figure,<br />
and portrait drawings.<br />
Grades 3 - 5: Period 4<br />

Open Studio Art Class<br />
Designed for the passionate young artist. In the<br />
open studio art setting, chart your own path and<br />
experiment with and explore various painting,<br />
drawing, mixed-media, sculpture, and printmaking<br />
techniques. You will develop art skills, play<br />
surrealist-inspired art-games, and leave with a<br />
portfolio of exciting new images.<br />

Experience all hand-building techniques: pinch,<br />
coil, and slab. Make bowls, masks, plates, and<br />
