Greetings New Member,<br />
Welcome to Urban Savannah Chamber of Commerce - a Chamber for African American,<br />
minority, and women business owners. We are the newest and one of the fastest growing<br />
Chambers in the Savannah Metro and surrounding areas.<br />
The economic environment in our region is ripe for a strong Chamber to focus on issues unique<br />
to minority professionals and businesses. Our Founding Advisory Council and Board of Directors<br />
worked diligently during 2015 and 2016 to methodically build a quality image for the Urban<br />
Savannah Chamber of Commerce; and we are committed to providing an effective platform for<br />
fostering exceptional economic development as we move forward in 2017.<br />
We look to do our part in making the Savannah Metro Area a thriving business environment for<br />

NETWORKING EVENTS<br />
THE COLLECTIVE NETWORKING MIXER<br />
Every 3rd Monday networking mixer with professionals, entrepreneurs, and a guest speaker. This event<br />
features food, entertainment, and networking. This event is held February through November. Vendor<br />
opportunities are available.<br />
AMBASSADORS EXCHANGE<br />
This ultra VIP networking event is for our Ambassador level members or higher only. It is an opportunity<br />
for our top level members to meet & greet, network, and hear updates on the chamber.<br />
EMERGING LEADERS MIXER<br />
Monthly mixer for millennial professionals ages 21 to 35. An after business hours networking event.<br />
THE <strong>URBAN</strong> FLOOD<br />
Every 1 st Thursday we invite our chamber members and community to come together as we support<br />
locally minority owned businesses. We come together to bring exposure to that business and flood<br />
that business with our dollars through collective economics.<br />
ENRICHMENT & EMPOWERMENT<br />
BUSINESS FORWARD (FILM INDUSTRY/PORTS & LOGISTICS/TECHNOLOGY)<br />
This symposium and business luncheon is developed in three series throughout the year. It focuses on<br />
some of the top trending business opportunities in our region, designed to get minority investors,<br />
entrepreneurs, and workforce interested and educated in these fields.<br />
MONEY SMART FOR SMALL BUSINESS – BI ANNUALLY<br />
Money Smart for Small Business (MSSB) provides a practical introduction to topics related to starting<br />
and managing a business. Developed jointly by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)<br />
and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), this instructor-led curriculum consists of 13 modules.<br />
MEMBERSHIP ORIENTATION<br />
Each month, we offer a new member orientation session. This is designed for our new members and<br />
those interested in our Chamber. We give an overview of our mission, and opportunities that will<br />
benefit your business. It’s also a networking event to connect you with other entrepreneurs and<br />
professionals.<br />

WEEKLY CONFERENCE CALL<br />
Every Wednesday we hold an open conference call that educates and empowers our chamber<br />
members, affiliates, and guests. Each week we feature relevant information that our participants can<br />
use to assist them in their professional and economic growth.<br />
THE ENTREPRENEUR’S INSTITUTE<br />
Our Small Business & Entrepreneurs Council, in partnership with Savannah State University’s College of<br />
Business & ACE Center, hosts a workshop that is designed to build our entrepreneurs and small<br />
businesses. This monthly workshop is offered at no cost to our members and students of SSU, and is<br />
available to the general public for a small registration fee.<br />
GENERAL <strong>CHAMBER</strong> MEMBERS MEETING<br />
After our annual meeting, we host two additional General Chamber meetings for our chamber<br />
members and guests. These meetings are designed to update our chamber members on our<br />
progress throughout the year, as well as promote the information that affects our community and<br />
