for it to be laid confidingly in His. Oh, what love,
what tender love has Jesus manifested in our

roses and the lilies in the garden of the Lord.
Oh, how many walk a dark path, looking to the
objectionable, unlovely things on either side of
them when a step higher are the flowers. They
think they have no right to say they are children of
God and lay hold on the promises set before them
in the gospel because they do not have the evidence
of their acceptance with God. They go through
painful struggles afflicting their souls as did Martin
Luther to cast himself upon Christ’s righteousness.
There are many who think they can come to
Jesus only in the way the child did who was
possessed of the demon that threw him down and
tore him as he was being led to the Saviour. You
are not of the kind that should have any such
