This is how we work for you.
Our optical solutions make a considerable contribution to technical
progress. They allow, for example, communication between
satellites in orbit or pin sharp images in printing technology. In
analysis they allow spectrum measurements of the highest
accuracy, and with lasers they provide the required efficiency for
processing materials. And that’s just the beginning: for light-based
industrial requirement we offer the appropriate optical solution as
an OEM supplier. The possibilities available to us, due to our competencies
in components, assemblies and systems, are virtually
limitless within the scope of the laws of physics. We can find an
impressive solution for you, even in big challenges.
We start where others stop.
Our physicists and engineers demonstrate their abilities where
others have given up. They develop ideas with great innovative
energy, as only those who put their heart and soul into a project,
and are able to solve problems which seem unsolvable. Our solutions
are always developed in close cooperation with our customers
and lead to serial production using leading edge technology.
As a result you receive all the services, from the concept to the
finished product, from one source.
We measure what we produce. And we do so very precisely.
Our products are proven to meet the highest demands for quality
and precision. This is because our metrology techniques are fully
state-of-the-art and thereby allow us to detect and evaluate even
the slightest deviations from the stated specifications. The results
speak for themselves: leading OEM manufacturers rely on products
from the Berliner Glas Group for optical key components,
assemblies and systems. Thanks to our long-term expertise as well
as the experience and innovative strength of an internationallyorientated
group, we produce highly-developed optical solutions.
These solutions always have the goal of optimising the benefits for
our customers.
As the customer you choose the direction.
As an OEM supplier we bring you to your goal.
Laser technology: a strong performance.
For decades the Berliner Glas Group, as an OEM supplier, has
developed and produced laser optics and systems for the most
demanding and diverse industrial applications. From micro or
macro material processing through metrology, information and
communication to imaging procedures. We manufacture systems
with high-precision, large-sized cylindrical lenses or plane optics
for laser expansion for melting or recrystallization processes, beam
guiding systems as well as high-power laser components which
are specifically designed to the requirements of our customers.
Our expertise in this area guarantees the exceptional quality and
performance our customers have learned to expect from the
Berliner Glas Group.
Application examples:
J Laser expansion systems
J Beam guiding systems
J High-power laser components
J Laser material processing
J High-precision, large-sized cylindrical
lenses for laser expansion

Space: infinite vastness – and possibilities.
Printing technology: crisp, sharp texts and images.
The latest printing technology, which provides crisp, sharp results
even with extreme formats and print media, is unimaginable without
high-performance optics. That is why renowned manufacturers
in the printing industry, who are looking for competent partners
with regards to dimensions and precision, rely on our products
and services. This is ensured by our high-precision production in
combination with first-class, in some cases even product-specific,
test options, which guarantee an extremely high finish quality of
our optics.
Application examples:
J Cylindrical lenses for computer to plate
J Optics for direct writing scanners
J Objectives for computer to plate (CTP)
Communication between satellites which
orbit the earth is accomplished at the
speed of light. This is a challenge which
goes right to the limits what is possible. We
develop and produce optical components
and systems, which allow communication
between satellites in orbit and as well as
with ground stations. We also participate
in other branches of space technology: for
example the monitoring of the earth for
climate research and optical components
used in astronomical telescopes.
Film technology: images which impress.
The film industry depends on innovative
optical solutions. Camera men require lenses
with exceptional performance that form
the core of their equipment and modern
recording and projection media require
specific auxiliary and anamorphic lenses
for the conversion of widescreen formats.
Our high-precision cylindrical and spherical
optics form the core of these lenses.
The same applies to the processing of
films, the performance of the optics in the
system has a decisive effect on the viewing
quality. We develop and produce objectives
and key components with exceptional performance.
Application examples:
J Optics for digitalising analog films
J Objectives for the professional film industry
Analytics and quality control: bringing the hidden to light.
Application examples:
J Spectroscopy
J Material examinations
J Analysis
J Quality control
J Process control
Whether used in the analysis of diverse
substances, sensor technology, process
controls, environmental monitoring, or
food technology, the optical components
and precision assemblies and systems of
the Berliner Glas Group offer extraordinary
precision and performance. Our optical
solutions make vital contributions to the
detailed examination of solids, liquids and
gases; optical applications in microscopy,
and in the analysis of light sources and
materials used in spectroscopy.
Berliner Glas also offers special optical
components for broad wavelength ranges
extending from the VUV to NIR. Many of
our assemblies and systems are developed,
produced and assembled in state-of-theart
clean rooms.
