The Pinoy Golf Club of<br />
Auckland's first tournament<br />
of <strong>2017</strong>, The Edwin<br />
Caballero Golf tournament,<br />
turned out to be a<br />
family affair with the<br />
Hansens and Lansis winning<br />
the major awards.<br />
Henning Hansen turned<br />
in the Lowest Gross score<br />
of 79, while Mitzi Hansen<br />
won the Ladies Division<br />
Championship with 35<br />
Stableford points.<br />
In the Men's division,<br />
Anjo Lansi scored 38<br />
Stableford points to top the<br />
Men's Division 1 group.<br />
Not to be outdone by his<br />
son, Jay Lansi scored the<br />
same to master the Men's<br />
Division 2 field via countback.<br />

Abbott settled for runner<br />

Edwin Caballero at<br />
the Maungakiekie<br />
Golf Club.<br />
It was well worth it,<br />
as Edwin made sure<br />
that everyone was<br />
happy with the food,<br />
drinks and raffle<br />
prizes galore!<br />

reminded the group<br />
of the upcoming tournaments.<br />
This February a team will<br />
be representing New Zealand<br />
at the 70th PAL<br />
Interclub to be held in<br />
Davao City, Philippines.<br />
This will be the first time<br />
NZ joins the longest running<br />
amateur tournament,<br />
participated in by 80 teams<br />
from all over the world. The<br />
team is composed of Edwin<br />
Caballero, Ton Garrido,<br />
Gerry Quijano and Jude<br />
Daculan from Auckland<br />
and Archie Milo, Ed<br />
Magadia, Elier Tingzon<br />
and Fr. Mar Dorado from<br />
Wellington.<br />
Our next tournament will<br />
be at the Pakuranga Golf<br />
Club on the 19th of Feb,<br />
hosted by Simon Lim. For<br />
