DAWN WING OPENS NEW HUB
March 2010 saw the opening of the new
Dawn Wing hub in Riverhorse Valley Business
Park in Durban. Previously located in Springfield
Park, the new hub is now positioned closer to the
newly built international airport at La Mercy, and
has greater accessibility to the national roads and
express ways.
Seenie Govender, Regional Executive said, “With
the new hub comes better equipped facilities and
a workplace that is conducive to a more professional
working environment. The improved configuration
of the goods receiving and dispatch area means
that more deliveries are able to be sorted and
dispatched a lot faster”.
Team building and creative thinking were the
themes at this year’s Annual Dawn Wing Sales
conference, held at Amanzingwe, Broederstroom
in Gauteng at the end January.
The annual conference is a platform at which
the annual sales targets are announced, feedback
is given on the previous year’s activities, and
new incentive programmes and marketing
campaigns are introduced. Dawn Wing also uses
the conference as an opportunity to recognise
and award members of the sales team for their

In addition to the facilities presenting the clients
with quick, smart, reliable service, the team at Dawn
Wing also boasts their very own ‘chill zone’, where
they are able to unwind during their free time.
Several of Dawn Wing’s clients attended the event
held on the premises, including Davinscot, Widex,
Toys‘R us, Wavelengths, Karen Hayens and Frame
Group. Some guests, in their post-event
correspondence with Dawn Wing, commented on
the warm reception and great hospitality.
“We are enjoying the new premises – it’s a million
times better than our previous depot, and the new
environment leads to a far more proficient
contribution to reaching targets for 2009. This
year’s team building exercises included a creative
aspect where the various teams had to design
a Makaraba, team flag and anthem.
The two-day conference closed with a
celebratory dinner onboard the classically
remodelled and refurbished wood-panelled

luxurious train in the world.
