22. BONUS POINTS<br />
22.1 Batting bonus point :-<br />
22.1.1 For a team batting second, to achieve a batting bonus point, they must achieve the target score within<br />
80% of the resources (overs) available to them i.e. in a 20 over uninterrupted match they must achieve the<br />
target in 16 overs or less. If they achieve the target in 16 overs and 1 ball, no batting bonus point will be<br />
awarded. For the avoidance of doubt, if the 1st ball of the 17th over (in an uninterrupted match) is a NO<br />
BALL OR WIDE, and that NO BALL OR WIDE wins the match for the batting team, no bonus point will be<br />
achieved. This fact must be recorded on the result card before submission to the <strong>Gauteng</strong> <strong>Cricket</strong> <strong>Board</strong>.<br />
22.1.2 If the team batting second fails to achieve a batting bonus point, then neither team will be awarded a<br />
batting bonus point.<br />
22.2 Bowling bonus point :-<br />
22.2.1 For a team to be awarded a bowling bonus point, they must restrict the team batting second to 80% or less<br />
of the target score i.e. if the team batting first sets a target score of 100 runs, the team bowling second<br />
must restrict the batting team to 80 runs or less to qualify for the bowling bonus point.<br />
22.2.2 If the team batting second scores 81 or more no bowling bonus point will be awarded to either team.<br />
22.2.3 Where a fraction is involved, the fraction of an over or run will always be rounded up i.e. 80.01111 runs will<br />
become a target of 81 runs.<br />
23. LOG POSITION<br />
In the event of two teams finishing on equal points in a league, the right to play in the semi-final and/or final will be<br />
determined in the following order of priority (if relevant).<br />
The team with the most number of wins<br />
If still equal, the team with the least number of losses<br />
If still equal, the team with the most match points<br />
If still equal, the team with the most bonus points<br />
If still equal, the result/s of the fixture/s involving the two side in the league during the season<br />
If still equal, the team with the highest net run-rate<br />
If still equal, the toss of a coin<br />
