To attend the Canadian<br />

Firearms Safety Course that<br />

you enrolled in, we now<br />

require your completed<br />

Registration Form.<br />

Now that you’re enrolled in the <strong>Feb</strong> <strong>18</strong><br />

program we are looking forward to<br />

providing assistance in your efforts to<br />

obtain a Firearms and/or Hunting<br />

licence.<br />

This is one of the few Canadian<br />

Firearms Safety Courses completed in<br />

a single day, because we complete<br />

most of the <strong>student</strong> paperwork in<br />

advance of the program, saving time<br />

and <strong>student</strong> frustration, while ensuring<br />

accuracy of these important<br />

government documents.<br />

Therefore we must get your personal<br />

information via the registration form in<br />

a timely manner.<br />

The deadline to submit your<br />

registration is Wed. <strong>Feb</strong>. 8<br />

Please arrive on time!<br />

Our tight schedule calls for starting the class at 8:00<br />

am., sharp. There is some paperwork to get completed<br />

first; so make every effort to arrive 30-45 minutes early.<br />

S.I.N. card. Current PERMANENT ADDRESS<br />

MINORS (Under <strong>18</strong>) must present valid Photo I.D.<br />

other than an Ontario Health Card, or parent must<br />

be present to provide alternate verification.<br />

We cannot process your important paperwork<br />

without the appropriate identification!<br />

4. If we do not receive your registration by the deadline, your<br />

name may be removed from our roster.<br />

All <strong>student</strong>s completed and on their way home. Please<br />

adjust your personal schedules accordingly.<br />

This is an entry level program<br />

dealing with all aspects of firearms<br />

safety, firearms actions,<br />

ammunition, carries, etc.<br />

You will learn many of the legal<br />

aspects of firearms licensing,<br />

transport, storage and display. and<br />

be guided through actual handling<br />

of non-restricted firearms, how to<br />

prove them safe, load and unload<br />

the five major action types.<br />

All successful <strong>student</strong>s will be<br />

provided with a comprehensive<br />

package containing everything you<br />

need to apply for your Firearms<br />

Licence.<br />

However, you must wait<br />

approximately 4 weeks to receive a<br />

copy of your Canadian Firearms<br />

Safety Course Report from the<br />

Chief Provincial Firearms Office<br />

before you can submit your<br />

Application for a Firearms Licence<br />

to the Canadian Firearms Centre.

Please arrive on time. Our tight schedule<br />

requires us to start promptly!<br />

You are welcome to pack your own lunch. A<br />

refrigerator is available for your use. Our rural<br />

location does not offer the luxury of restaurants in<br />

close proximity.<br />

As the program runs well into the evening, you are<br />

also encouraged to bring additional snacks for late<br />

in the day.<br />

A word about your Tuition Fees:<br />

Course Tuition fees are due at time of arrival.<br />

We are unable to accept debit or credit cards as a payment method.<br />

We have become disenchanted with cheques. Therefore, cash is the<br />

only acceptable method of payment. No exceptions! All Tuition fees<br />

must be paid in full upon arrival.<br />

Firearms Licence Application<br />

Although you do not need an application the day of the course,<br />

you may download and complete a copy of the application for<br />

a firearms licence HERE, bring it to the class, and we will<br />

review it with you for correctness.<br />

Minors (under age <strong>18</strong>) must contact the CFO of Ontario (1-800-731-4000, Ext. 7538) to<br />

request an application for a Minors Firearms Licence.


Hunter Education Course Itinerary<br />

Hunter Education<br />

<strong>Feb</strong>ruary 25<br />

For those enrolled in the One-Stop<br />

program, day two is the Ontario Hunter<br />

Education Program.<br />

A more advanced course, this session<br />

deals with Wildlife management,<br />

responsible hunting, wildlife laws, wildlife<br />

identification, field dressing, survival<br />

techniques, bow hunting, etc.<br />

Class hours are from 7:00 AM until 7:45<br />

PM., including the testing session,<br />

immediately upon conclusion of the<br />

program.<br />

The “Multiple Choice” tests will be scored<br />

upon completion, and you will know your<br />

marks right away!<br />

Successful <strong>student</strong>s will be provided with<br />

paperwork which will allow them to get their<br />

Ontario Hunting Licence (or Hunting<br />

Apprenticeship Card) the next business day!<br />

Notice: Students who did not previously complete their CFSC with us, and are attending<br />

“Hunter Ed Only” must provide proof that they have completed the Canadian<br />

Firearms Safety Course.

Course descriptions and appropriate fees are<br />

outlined below to assist you in bringing the<br />

correct tuition with you.<br />

Canadian Firearms Safety Course:<br />

Student Manuals listed below are extra.<br />

Each <strong>student</strong> must have a manual in<br />

the classroom. Exceptions may be made<br />

for two or more <strong>student</strong>s in the same<br />

household.<br />

NOTICE: Beginning with our July 9th<br />

course, all <strong>student</strong>s must purchase the<br />

new CFSC manual. All older versions are<br />

obsolete.<br />

Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course:<br />

Complete 8 hour training program and examination to<br />

meet the legal requirements to apply for a Firearms<br />

Licence; own, possess and purchase firearms and<br />

ammunition.<br />

Complete training program and examination to add<br />

Restricted Firearms to their current Firearms Licence.<br />

Students must already have completed the non-restricted<br />

Canadian Firearms Safety Course and<br />

test., provide written documentation.<br />

Ontario Hunter Education Course:<br />

Complete 10 hour training program and<br />

examination to meet the mandatory requirements<br />

to obtain a Hunting & Fishing Ontario Outdoors<br />

Card. Students must have proof they have completed the<br />

Canadian Firearms Safety Course.<br />
