<strong>MIRAGE</strong> 2014 Jyothi: Yes Adarsh: OK. Let’s talk. You are studying or something? Jyothi: Yes I Am a B.Tech student. Adarsh: Oh that’s cool. I am a software engineer. Do you like stories? Jyothi: Obviously it’s a long time since childhood I never heard any story. Can you tell any? Adarsh: I'm not a good story teller. But sometimes someone’s life or life events will entertain somebody as stories. So what can I do is, I will tell you about my Engineering life. Jyothi: That will be nice. Adarsh: Ok. Here we go. Adarsh: I completed my B.Tech degree from Mohandas College. My entrance rank was not much better. So I was allotted to the IT stream at first. I was there only for a week even though. I got some good friends there, two or three boys. After the second allotment I get admitted to the CS stream, which was somewhat a big class. Almost seats were filled in that class. Including me four guys 4
<strong>MIRAGE</strong> 2014 were joined to the class on the same day. Three of us were from IT; Ajesh and Nithin Ghosh were the other two and one from another college that is Althaf. My entire story revolves around this class. Even though there were 60 students in that class, here am focusing somewhat about 10, whom played a crucial role in my college life. Before I joined to that class I had some company with a guy in the same class, Sabeer Sha because we were bus mates. For the first week he was my only company. Then I started to make friendship with everyone, just by asking their name. The college was just like a jail and we were treated us jail inmates. But our first year staff advisor Manju mam was a good teacher. She always used to encourage us and she is the one who opened the door for conversations between us. Second day itself the director, dictator had come to our class. She explained about her laws, which has to be followed inside the campus. At that time itself she picked up a guy from the class. He was a big guy, not by his appearance. He was our senior, year out boy, Milas. He became the prey for her on that day. That scene is still on my mind, she was checking from top to bottom no bottom to top to verify 5
