Canine V<strong>is</strong>ion<br />

Dog Guides<br />

Canine V<strong>is</strong>ion Dog Guides have<br />

been enriching the lives <strong>of</strong> Canadians<br />

who are blind or v<strong>is</strong>ually impaired<br />

since 1985.<br />

Th ese Dog Guides are trained <strong>to</strong> ass<strong>is</strong>t<br />

their handlers in navigating obstacles<br />

typically found on most daily routes,<br />

including cars, curbs, escala<strong>to</strong>rs and<br />

stairs.<br />

Th e benefi ts <strong>of</strong> living with a Canine<br />

V<strong>is</strong>ion Dog Guide are immeasurable.<br />

With their ass<strong>is</strong>tance, handlers<br />

experience increased mobility, safety<br />

and independence.<br />

individuals who are deaf or hard<br />

unable <strong>to</strong> hear on their own.<br />

Th e help <strong>of</strong> a Hearing Ear Dog Guide gives<br />

handlers an increased sense <strong>of</strong> security by<br />

acting as their link <strong>to</strong> the world <strong>of</strong> sound.<br />

Th <strong>is</strong> allows them <strong>to</strong> function unhindered<br />

and feel more comfortable and at ease in<br />

their own home.<br />

Hearing Ear Dog Guides are taught <strong>to</strong><br />
