1. Orpic Visitors Center<br />
Orpic Visitors Center has been established in order to sustain strong relationship with community and<br />
strengthening the engagement platform that leads to a greater understanding of our business. Beginning of<br />
<strong>2016</strong> the Function wise KPI were increased and set to be more than the corporate KPI of 1,300 Visitors.<br />
Chart (1) shows a steadily increase in the number of visitors. Orpic reached around 1474 visitors by the end of<br />

1046 Visitors surveyed representing a 71% of the total Visitors. With Visitors Satisfactions, Information Quality and<br />
knowledge about Orpic as key elements of the survey. The results are shown in the following charts;<br />

From the survey visitors have suggested the following area of development to enhance visitors experience<br />

knowledge about Orpic.<br />

2. Social Initiatives & Investments<br />
To Support Orpic’s effort in fulfilling the duty of good corporate citizenship Orpic invest in funding social<br />
initiatives to improve the quality of life in communities around us particularly by supporting various social<br />
initiatives and projects in a different field as part of its social responsibility.<br />
A total of 230 requests for fund received by the end of <strong>2016</strong>: 82 were approved*<br />
with acceptance rate of 36% and a total investments of $ 486,568.<br />

3. Community Engagements<br />
Providing our surrounding communities with balanced and objective information help them to understand and<br />
appreciate Orpic role in the economy, Orpic has a community outreach program with following key areas:<br />

3.2 Community School & Building Capacity Programs<br />
Orpic is committed to contribute in building capacities and raise awareness in the community by providing and<br />
sponsoring various training programs and awareness sessions with a target of 4000 Beneficiaries as a CSS<br />
targeted KPI. It aims to:<br />
1) Establish a series of learning events, lectures and focused program to enrich the students and general public in<br />
different geographical area.<br />
2) Utilizing expertise available within Orpic whenever possible to share.<br />

Volunteerism activities help to promote the culture of giving and increase the sense of social commitment. It<br />

4. Government Relations Section<br />
Recently established within the External Relations Services Department, in order to help present a clear and<br />
consistent approach to government relations, and enable Orpic to leverage recent successes.<br />
The Government Relations section will provide Orpic’s various departments and projects with all services<br />
related to government, and will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with<br />
government authorities (Customs Clearance, Obtaining Permits from related Authorities). This will ensure<br />
Orpic’s compliance with government requirements, as well as enable us to monitor all major projects’<br />
material deliveries – ensuring timely customs clearance processes.<br />

6. Orpic Social Investments through Jusoor<br />
Orpic Social investments arm "Jusoor” executed many CSR projects and initiatives detailed list provided by<br />
Jusoor can be found in Appendix II.<br />
7. Media Coverage on <strong>ERS</strong> Community Engagement and Social Initiatives<br />
Community engagements and social initiatives have been communicated through more than 50 press releases<br />
published on various newspapers and 72 posts in Orpic social Media outlets. Additionally it’s covered by other<br />
social media platforms of partners and individuals. Interview on the Waste Free Environment Campaign and<br />
Orpic Award for Educational Excellence also broadcasted on radio.<br />

Low participation of Orpic employees in the various voluntarism activities and community engagements.<br />
Required more communication tools to encourage employee participation particularly in external<br />
campaigns.<br />
Government Affairs Communication Challenge. However, introducing the new section through road show<br />
will facilitate and help governmental affairs issues to be resolved easily.<br />
