ONMA to
run AMOS
competition

Odessa National Maritime
Academy (ONMA) has
signed a contract with
SpecTec to conduct an annual
'AMOS Competition', that
will include awards for
cadets showing a high level
of skill in the use of the maritime
software.
The award ceremony for
this year's competition took
place at the Central
Academy hall, with first
place going to cadet Hara
Vladislav.
The ONMA management
noted that it believed "the
AMOS system is a vital tool
for any shipping company,
and ONMA cadets have
developed the knowledge
and skills as a result of working
with AMOS Business
Suite, necessary for work on
board with AMOS."
SpecTec has already in the
past sponsored licences of
AMOS Business Suite software
modules for ONMA,
the largest maritime academy
in the Ukraine, but will now
add to the existing educational
programme by including
an additional course on the
newly released AMOS2
Enterprise Management software
system.

Following on from a previous agreement
for the installation of AMOS
Maintenance & Purchasing on 11 new
buildings, COSCO Dalian has contracted
with SpecTec to install AMOS
on 8 additional new building tankers in
2009 and 2010.
