Come and ride Wakkerstroom… Weekend of the 31 st March <strong>2017</strong>.<br />
One of the coolest places on the planet. Only 3 and a bit hours from JHB.<br />
Spectacular riding through the mountains. A lekker Long ride on Saturday with lots of technical bits. Shorter technical<br />
ride on Sunday. Not a race! A fun weekend in the saddle with your mates! Wakkerstroom is a haven and an escape from<br />
the Big Smoke. Going to this quaint little village on the border of Mpumalanga and Natal is a bit like stepping back in<br />
time…<br />
We’ve found some fantastic routes through the surrounding mountains…<br />
On Saturday morning, we head out on the trails – absolutely fantastic – great for the families with easy routes for the<br />
moms and kids and some great technical bits and pieces for the guys and gals who want to have a more interesting ride.<br />
The views are amazing, the riding unbeatable… rivers, mountains – a bit of everything with lunch served on the trail.<br />
On Saturday evening 7pm, the hotel will light the fires, braai packs on sale pap, sous and salads, join us for prize giving –<br />
and generally a great party.<br />
On Sunday, we’ll hook up with one of the locals for an optional technical ride, so if rocky mountains are your thing, then<br />
this is one ride that you will really enjoy…<br />
If you don’t ride – this is a great place to come and chill, kick back, read a book, visit all the local shops and pubs, check<br />
out the birdlife, take photos and all sorts. Make a family weekend of it…<br />
Our marshals will be along to make sure that you are all well looked after. The routes are all clearly marked and really<br />
interesting so you can ride at your own pace. Our paramedic will be on hand to take care of any aches and pains.<br />
Two options:<br />
1. Book your own accommodation or camping and sort your own meals. Join<br />
us for the day. R800 per adult rider. Kids under 12 R500.<br />
