From the Editor
I am excited to welcome you back to
our 18th edition of Women's
Frontline Magazine. I have been on a
much needed summer break. I
deemed it necessary to go away and
reevaluate the reason why I want to
keep on publishing this magazine.
Although I have had some challenges,
I believe that this magazine creates a
platform for ordinary people to share
and get their stories published.
I thoroughly enjoyed the grand
season of sunshine and much needed
family bonding and at the same time,
I needed to find my oasis and drink
from it. Indeed the bible says that
''there is a time for everything under
the sun.''
I am thankful to God who is always
ahead of me, working behind the
scenes on my behalf. I have enjoyed
barsking in his presence as he renews
me and equips me for the days that
lie ahead. It is always worthwhile to
wait upon the Lord; and wait upon
the promises that he has spoken over
our life.
Moving towards the last quarter of
the year, I will let the Lord align my
life as he makes necessary
adjustments.
I would like to say a big thank you to
all our writers. I really appreciate you
co-labouring with me to make this
magazine a success.
The theme for this month is Women
& Passion. Though passion is an
important ingredient to staying the
course in ministry, work or wherever
you might find yourself, the Lord
reminded me, that it is his word that
makes dreams come true. So, let us
get back to reading and studying the
word of God.
Women's Frontline Magazine remains

voice in song. She felt the call for ministry at the
tender age of four and has ever since sought to
understand the extent of the call. She dabbled in
different fields until the call for music ministry

creative and innovative musical mind and has astute
sense and comprehension of the art of music.

UP
Let me start by saying that God will catch you no
matter how low you fall. His love for us has no bounds. We just have to
accept it! I accepted Jesus when I was 14. I have never lost sight of whose I
am. I have faltered
and fallen, but God always lifts me back up.
When I was 20 I started a relationship with the man I thought I would
spend my life with. After 9 ½ years of being lied to, I had my daughter.
Through my daughter, God showed me I was on the wrong path. My
daughter is a blessing from God in spite of my bad choices.
When my daughter was 2, I met the man I would marry. My husband and I
got married 4 years after we started dating. We were not equally yoked in
any way. This caused a lot of heartache.

While my husband was an
excellent father to my children, he
was sexually and emotionally
abusive to me. I finally had the
strength to walk away after 6 years
of marriage. There was no resolving
what was going on behind closed
doors.
When I was 39 I rededicated my life
to God. I accepted Jesus as my Lord,
not just my Savior. A year later I
became involved in the church I still
attend. God brought me to a
place in my life where I lost a lot, but
appreciated everything. I learned to
be content with what I had and no
longer spent time grieving what I
didn’t.
At the age of 40, I had been
unemployed for 2 years. I arrived at a
point where I truly had to let go and
let God. I took a step out on faith and
was ready to start my own business.
The very next day I received an offer
of employment. I truly believe God
was waiting for me to surrender.
It wasn’t until this year that I felt
ready to venture into a relationship. I
once again fell into a relationship
that wasn’t equally yoked. Also once
again I went against what I know God
wants for my life. I gave into the
wants of my flesh instead of being
strong in the protection of the Lord.
I am thankful it only took 3 months to
realize that I was once again on the
wrong path.
The relationship fell apart and the
friendship we had prior is horribly
broken. I have fallen back into my
sinful nature from time to time since
then. A week ago, I felt convicted and
made the choice once and for all to
turn away from my actions.
Through my life I have survived many
different abuses. I have been an
addict and have survived that by the
grace of God. I have survived a stroke
with very little permanent damage.
God’s grace throughout my life
amazes me.

Now I would like to
talk about what I have
learned over the years. God
has shown me so much and I
want to encourage others
with what I now know. Also, I
want to make it clear that no
one on this earth is perfect.
That’s why God sent Jesus to
us.
It has become crystal clear to
me that God has blessed me
with the gift of discernment.
I am able to hear the Holy
Spirits voice regarding
individuals and their actions.
One of the hardest lessons
for me to learn is that I need
to always listen to that voice.
Things go horribly wrong
when I don’t.
am going against the will of
God for me. If I look back over
my life, there are glaring
examples of this.
Another lesson I have learned
is that if I let Him, God will
use me to share his love.
Through volunteering and
sharing my testimony, I do
just that. I don’t have a lot of
money, but I have a heart
filled with love for Jesus. I
take every opportunity I can
to
share that love.
A 3 rd lesson I have learned is
that not everyone who claims
to love God, actually does. As
women, we need to guard
ourselves against sheep in
wolves clothing. Any man
worthy of our love will lead
us closer to God, not away
from Him.
A wise friend of mine
recently taught me that any
decision I make needs to fill
me with peace. If I do not feel
that peace, then I most likely

The Lord has shown me that I
am a work in progress until the day I
die. I know that I will fall many more
times before He takes me home to
Him. When we sin, we need to be
quick to repent and not continue in
it. If you learn nothing else from me,
please believe that living in our
sinful nature leads to many kinds of
death. We suffer a death of Spirit,
emotion and sometimes a physical
death.
My hope is that I can continue in
God’s grace and help others to have
hope in the face of darkness. Jesus
came for us so that we may have a
relationship with our Father.
For me, God is the only Father I have.
My goal in sharing my testimony
with you is to show you that none of
us is perfect. No
matter how many times we fall, if we
reach out He will pick us up and dust
us off. If you let Him, He will use you
or your situation to create
something beautiful.
Thank you for taking the time to
read my story. I pray you find peace
and fulfillment through the Lord. If
you let Him, He will truly show you a
love that surpasses all
understanding.

5 Questions to
redefine your passion...
Lessons from
Queen Esther

The first
time I read the Wikipedia version of
explanation to Passion, I literally
opened my mouth. It was serious.
According to Wiki, the synonymous
word for passion is suffer. Really?
Yes! Its that serious. Throughout the
thousands of books written about
leadership and success stories,
passion always stand tall on the list
of qualities that makes people great.

Schnatter said that ;Concentrate on
In 2013 when I became a oordinator
for a national NGO in Ghana, I saw it
as a job. I did it when I was told and
got minimal results on my key result
areas. Two years down the line, I
had an attitude shift to that same
work. I saw it more as a calling. I
didn’t see the teeming people we
help as statistics but real human
beings who attend our personal
development programmes with
questions begging for answers to
help them transform their lives.
When it comes to women leadership
and passion, there is no mystery to it.
Passion is a common trait for both
men and women leaders. You are
either a leader with passion or a
leader swimming in dormancy.

My passion at first was nothing
to write home about but the latter
had deep impact on my results.
Passion is a game-changer in
leadership. Here, I must issue a
caution that my use of
leadership means anyone who takes
initiative to cause a change.
I want us to use the life of Queen
Esther in the Bible to answer 5
questions that can help us to
redefine our passion.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
The first question that arises from
Esther's life is: What do you do?
Esther was an Israeli captive who
became a queen in a foreign land.
What you do is your first point of call
for passion. Esther was a queen in
the palace. That was her work. Every
work is connected with a big picture
but Esther didn;t spot it from the
beginning. Many of us are doing jobs
that we see as normal.
We almost always have a normal
boring day. We have never asked
ourselves: where is my passion going
to come from? Here is my big lesson:
God never gives passion to someone
outside of their area of work or
strength. Passion is always
connected to what you do.
WHO DO YOU HAVE?
Knowing that what you do will bring
you passion is not enough. Move on
to the second question: who do you
have? The people in your life will
help you see through their own
spectacles about how they see the
world. For Esther, it was Mordecai,
her uncle. He was nobody but he
influenced the life of Esther to see
the big picture for her work in the
palace. That picture was fighting for
her people. Seriously, for most of us,
we will never know the true impact
of people in our lives until we part
ways with them.
HOW DO YOU SEE?
After Modechai spoke to Esther, all of
a sudden she begun to see very
differently. She saw that her purpose
in life wasn;t about being just a
queen but saving her people. How do
you feel after you interact with the
people in your life? Do you feel
passionate or not? Are they energy
boosters or drainers?

WHAT DO YOU SAY?
After the perspective of Esther had
changed, she started talking
differently. Her confession
changed from I have a job to we
have a job to free our people from
hate. She had the support of her
people. A life with passion speaks
differently.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
After inspiring her people to seek
the face of God, Queen Esther took a
bold uncommon action to meet the
king. It was dangerous but she risked
her life for her people. It was not
advisable but she did it. The proof of
our passion is in our actions. Ralph
Waldo Emerson said that, Who you
are speaks so loudly I can't hear
what you are saying?
So there you have. Five questions to
help you redefine your passion in
whatever you are doing. Passion
doesn’t just happen. It takes a
deliberate effort to whip your
interest to flame your passion in life.
A passionate person can never be
stopped. The man or woman without
passion gives up whenever he or she
faces challenges. The only way we
can achieve our God-given dreams is
to have a corresponding passion to
fuel its success.
Jesus was passionate about His
cause of redemption. Paul was
passionate about his cause of church
planting and growing. David was
passionate about political service.
The disciples of Jesus were
passionate about learning from the
greatest man and doing what He did.
Passion can bring a house down!

"What is prayer?"
The most basic definition of prayer
is “talking to God.” Prayer is not
meditation or passive reflection; it
is direct address to God. It is the
communication of the human soul
with the Lord who created the soul.
Prayer is the primary way for the
believer in Jesus Christ to
communicate his emotions and
desires with God and to fellowship
with God.

“Do not be anxious about anything,
but in every situation, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present
your requests to God. And the peace
of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your
hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus” (Philippians 4:6–7). Worry
about nothing; pray about
everything.

His Word together and
allowing Him to direct their

impossible to please God.”
In her first book , The

shares about who she was
and what God did for her.
You will discover the ups,
the downs, and the in
between. Her message is
that the Lord can be with us
the whole time and you
would never know if you
don’t take the time to slow
down, pray and listen for
His voice. Through your own
healing, you’re enabled to
help someone else find
theirs. When you believe in
Him, His Word, and His
power, you too can be
healed, delivered and set
free.

You
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for
you, Declares the Lord, plans to
prosper you and not to harm
you. Plans to give you hope and
a future.
As I sit here and listen to
worship music and I attempt to tell
you about me, I am reminded of a
moment in time when I was hurting so
deeply. I had just went through a
divorce my heart wascompletely
broken. I was on my way to a
women’s convention about an hour
away from my home. I told the Lord,
“ You said I was a doctor, You said I
was a prophet, but God I don’t feel
like any of them”!
II mean, how am I all these things and
I’m going through my second
divorce?! How is it possible to be all
these things and I haven’t even went
to school? If You want me to go to
school Lord You going to have to pay
for it! I mean, You are going to have to
show me what school to go to,
Lord You have to do it for Your name
sake Jesus!!
Father I’m scared, and If You don’t do
it Lord it won’t get done!! I’m tired and
I’m ready to give up Lord I just can’t
take it no more! If You don’t show up
Lord I’m going to kill myself!! Just
when I said that I started to cry so
uncontrollably that by the time I got
to the church my make up was gone
and if anyone knows me then you
know it was nobody but the Holy
Ghost that told me before I left my
house to grab my makeup bag lol!!.

I originally went to the church to
support a good friend of mine and it
was his event. Not knowing that this
would be another divine set up by
God Himself. My first divine set up
was with my editor who is now my
spiritual mother. She became my
unsolicited, one and only chief
editor by default of old love
interest.
The Word of God is true when it says
what the devil meant for bad God
will turn it around to bless you.
That relationship lasted about five
years off and on before he
introduced me tomomma Chris. She
took me under her wing and has
never let me go and truth be told I
won’t let her go either.
Now I know you may be saying
where is she going with this story?
I’ll tell you, the reason I was going
to that conference was to support
my friend but guess what I was
looking for God to do something to
change my situation and I needed it
to change immediately.
My very life
depended on it, because at the time I
was contemplating suicide.
Yes, you heard me I really wanted to
kill myself and I never listen to that
voice but this time was different.
See I was at my lowest point,
divorced twice and struggling in my
ministry. I had just published two
books which were assignments, in
which I said yes to. If you know what
it’s like to give God a yes and expect
Him to change your situation
immediately just because you
obeyed Him and He doesn’t. Then
you understand my pain and my
frustration.
I went to the conference sat in the
church got some of the word but
what happened next was just what
we always say….
God You are amazing!!! See this big
boned woman came out of nowhere
and that my friend’s is what we call
a divine set up.
Her dress was a beautiful turquoise
but what stood out the most was her
physique, she was built in a
beautiful almost
kimono like dress. Her husband was
working the table across from where
my friend was doing
registration for the conference.
Their table had books, personalized
towels and lap scarves that
we ladies use in church to keep us
covered below the knee.
The next thing I know I’m in a
conversation with her husband who
says out of no where….”we
got get back to Texas we start school
on Monday and I all I could do is
look up and say God You
are so funny!! I have to tell you
before I go any further what the
conference title was… You
ready???

Woman You are Next!!!
Tell me God doesn’t have a sense of
humor. Yes I was next and yes I am
still in awe of God and His plans, His
ways. He always sees ahead of the
storms and cares of life. If we would
only just trust, believe and obey He
will show a plan that you could only
dream
about. I sure had no idea that each
one of my friendships would end up
being blessings to my entire soul,
mind and being!!
God was always with me
from start to finish,
He actually answered each one of
my questions before I even started
making a plan. Make sense? If your
anything like me you just sit in tears
and say Lord I’m not worthy.
I’m here to encourage you today ask,
seek and knock, the door shall be
opened unto you. Now if you think
that is something let me give you
some more icing on that cake. When I
found out that ran a school I
immediately went into prayer and
asked the unthinkable. I didn’t have
the full amount for the tuition but I
did have clients lined up for that
Tuesday the day that associates class
would start which is where I would
begin the “Journey Here”. The
forthcoming book due for release in
the early fall.

O N T H E C O V E R

exceedingly and abundantly all you
could ask or think.
People of God I was hopeless, I was
at the bottom of my life ready to
either relapse or die. God said just
give Me a try.
I’m the girl from Richmond, Connie
the overcomer, the delivered drug
addict.
The single mother of four beautiful
children, the self employed stylist
who was scared. Felt unworthy of
love, who felt she couldn’t unlearn
what she learned. How can God
actually make tis young woman who
gets no reconignition of any of her
other accomplishments from her
own family let alone her piers!? I
was unsure of myself but I was
confident that if God said that
settles it!!
If you think for one minute
it was easy and a cake walk it was
far from it. I remember I didn’t have
money for three years into school
but what I had was my word which
was good. I owed money most of the
time I was in school, God was right
there working on the director of the
school’s heart and guess what her
husband always said… We believe in
you just keep turning in your work
and we will work with you.
My last year of school was the most
difficult but God said He would
never leave me nor forsake me. It
was time for thesis and all I know is I
was not prepared but God, He had
me writing all the time so it was
crunch time ….literally, I was ready!!!
I had two days to get in a 35,000
word document turned in.
I cried and I prayed and guess what I
turned it in mailed it off and it
arrived 3 hours before schedule.
It was actually 37,500 words! God
always said He would perfect all
things that concern you, He also said
that He Who began a good a work
would see it finished until the
coming of our Lord.
My God from Zion, not only did I
graduate, I graduated with my class
all done with the help of the Lord. It
was all His grace which held me up
when I wanted to give up!! I went
through tremendous warfare to get
to this place and when I arrived,
directly after graduation, I began to
loose it again.
Understand, that was a five year plan
it even included all five books I had
written and self published all done
within those five years. I needed to
start a new plan, set new goals for
the
next five years. I am a woman of
action and I have a follow through
finisher’s anointing. I start
something I am determined to finish

I could go on and on about the
journey here….Dr. Cooper, but I do
know that none of this would have
happened if it were not already His
plan, It was already discussed in
Heaven. Heaven had already
settled the matter of my
destination to Dr. Cooper.
Nothing happens without Heaven
having a conversation about you,
me all of us. God has us on His
mind and His plans are marvelous
for you and I!
He gives us His good and perfect
gifts. He is Author and the Finisher
of our faith! I have been writing
and going to school so much that I
almost forgot to enjoy my
moments of accomplishments,
achievements for the mere fact I
couldn’t believe it myself.
God is simply amazing and I would
not be Doctor Cooper if it had not
already been settled in Heaven.
Stay in the race and run it at your
own pace. This little girl from the
ghetto of Richmond California not
only got delivered from drugs and
alcohol but she also broke
generational curses. I also set the
new standard for my family to
know they could do all things
through Christ Jesus who
strengthens them.
Habakkuk 2:2 says to write the
vision and make it plain so that the
runner may run and though the
vision may tarry wait for it for it is
for an expected time. This is our
expected time. Run runner run,
pace yourself and wait on the Lord
when your strength is weak. Lean
on and learn of Him.
Trust me, His plan and His strategy
to get you to that place will surely
blow your mind and make you say
wow!!!
God is truly amazing!!!! He is the
same God Who parted the Red Sea
for the children of Israel, He will
surely part your sea for you too!

Woman
The
subject of womanhood has attracted
diverse opinions since their
introduction. Different people have
shared their thoughts on who
women are, their strengths, role,
weaknesses, etc. Some have argued
and never come to an agreement on
the complexity of who they are.
Here is my take.
Basically, a woman is a man who is
endowed with a womb. You will
understand this as you read further.
A woman is a special creation of God
who is given special abilities. These
abilities range from being a carrier of
the seed of a man, a nurturer as well
as a nurse, etc.
Let’s look at some of these special
abilities.

The woman as an
influence:
The first woman to ever walk the
earth known as Eve first introduced
man to a tree that the man had been
instructed by God not to eat of. This
is definitely not a write-up to
have a theological discussion on who
did right or wrong; my interest is in
the fact that though man had
received instruction not to eat of
that tree, he ended up eating
because it was the woman who
brought it to him. Though scripture
explicitly states that the man was
with her, (which I believe he knew
where the fruit was coming from), he
didn’t ask questions, but went ahead
and ate it anyway.
‘’And when the woman saw that the
tree was good for food, and that it
was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree
to be desired to make one wise, she
took of the fruit thereof, and did eat,
and GAVE ALSO UNTO HER HUSBAND
WITH HER; AND HE DID EAT. ‘’
Genesis 3:6
I believe therefore that the woman is
endowed with a special grace to
influence multitudes
The woman as
a seed carrier:
The woman was specially designed
by God to carry seed and produce
another kind of human after a period
of nine months. This she does when
she consummates her love with
her husband through sexual
intercourse and conceives, thereby
after receiving seed form the man in
the form of a sperm, which goes to
fertilize an ovary in her womb and
subsequently causes the cycle of
human creation in her womb.
Her body undergoes a period of
changes and like an elastic material,
her womb protrudes and expands for
a period of nine months, after which
her sexual organ expands for another
human being with a unique destiny,
gifts, and other abilities to come out
to join other existing humans.
Though the experience of giving
birth comes with pain, which has the
capacity to rupture her heart, thereby
resulting in the loss of her life, she is
the only person endowed with the
special grace of being the entrant for
other human beings.
‘’... in sorrow thou shalt bring forth
children...’’

The woman as a nursing
mother, nurse and nurturer:
The woman is endowed with the
special grace to nurse and nurture.
As a nursing mother, she feeds
her children with breast milk, weans
them of it, and feeds them gradually
till their teeth grow and are able to
chew meat and break bones. As a
nurse, she treats wounds and hurts
which are not just physical but
emotional and psychological as well.
She almost always knows how to find
the place a person is hurting so she
can administer carefully the right
medicine to cure that ailment.

Thus, when a woman is given the
chance, she is able to direct people
into what and where their passions
lie so they don’t become frustrated
adults in the long run.
As people who nurture, they have
special qualities like tenderness
which are found in their arms,
which don’t tire though their bodies
mostly ache out of frequent carrying,
loving ,kindness which is found in
their hearts, and encouraging words
which are found on their tongues.
As nurturer, she is able to groom
people to become responsible
adults. Someone once said that if
you educate a man, you educate an
individual, but if you educate a
woman, you end up educating a

I’M NEW.
So, it’s been a hard week.
Actually, hard doesn’t quite describe
it.
I’ve been through some stuff. Years
ago, I was a medicated wreck. I was
broken. I was (in many ways) ALL
FREAKING DONE. But God invaded my
life 10 years ago. And he healed me.
In a severely powerful way.
I’ve not been the same since.
Like seriously.
Over the past 5 years or so I’ve really
seen that healing solidify. And have
been amazed at how different I am.
But then this week happened…
I was confronted by a chapter of my
life that I hadn’t looked at in a while.
In a LONG WHILE. And , friends (we
are friends aren’t we??) it gripped me.
In a billion different ways, my heart
was paralyzed.
Unable to think. Everything was fuzzy.
My brain raced a million different
directions.
My heart ached.

Deeply.
Intensely.
Ached.
The thing is, I know this ache. Really
well. We are old familiar friends.
And because I recognized it, it
terrified me.
Because I remember what it has the
capability of doing to me. I’ve lived
that story. And I don’t want to go
back. EVER.
I was faced with two options:
Run and hide.
Or press into it.
To be honest with you, I’ve fluctuated
between the two. But, I keep
choosing to press back in.
And here’s why:
Although I know the pain very well in
this place, I know HIM in this place.
I know what He can do with my pain.
I know that story.
I love that story.
I would give my life for that story.
Him.
It’s been agonizing.
It’s been terrifying.
But, I trust Him.
Because, I know what is waiting for
me on the other side. As much as this
pains me, I know if I let him clean this
area of my heart out, He will heal it.
And on the other side is gold.
I have gold in so many other places of
my heart. Priceless, valuable,
cherishable gold. Gold that was once
not. But now is.
I want gold here.
And I’m not stopping until He’s done.
I trust Him.
I choose Him.
Of course as luck (or God’s perfect
design) would have it, I was
scheduled to preach Sunday.
GAHHHH.
For those of you who know me, you
know I always teach from a very
transparent place. But, this was taking
that vulnerability to an ENTIRELY NEW
LEVEL.
So, as much as it killed me, I chose to
press into every stinking layer of this
thing and learn to breath in it with

I WAS A MESS...

All last week when I should have
been preparing, I was on the floor in
my office listening to worship music
begging God to heal me.
Not even thinking about my sermon.
I walked the sanctuary when no one
was there DECLARING HIS GOODNESS
OVER ME. Because I couldn’t do
anything else.
I had to stay in that place.
Or else I would sink.
And sometimes I did sink.
hand and pull me onward. I knew the
breakthrough would come. I knew it
would. It just wasn’t there yet.
And, then came Sunday…
Mind you, I hadn’t slept much. I
hadn’t eaten much. I was IN THE
MIDDLE OF FREAKING HEART
SURGERY WITH GOD.
And from my mud pit, I bled out of
me what he was teaching me.
Here’s an excerpt of my
message:

Again, I wasn’t walking in a healed
place just yet. But, he was faithfully,
steadily at work.
A friend of mine was processing with
me and said, “you haven’t cried about
this yet, have you?” Now, my
husband and everyone who knows
me will quickly tell you, Anna doesn’t
cry much.
It’s true.
10 years ago I felt like all of my tears
came out. There just haven’t been
much since. But, as she said those
words I felt the swell grow in the
back of my throat.
I just couldn’t cry yet.
But, I knew I needed to.
Yesterday, I was driving in the car
(kids were screaming, baby was
throwing stuff, I had a million things I
was trying to do – you get the
picture) The ache resurfaced.
I felt the pain and was like, Sweet
Jesus you have to do something. I
can’t stay in this place!
I dropped the kids off at summer
camp and immediately a song came
on the radio I had never heard.
It was “Be my rescue“, by Nicole
Nordeman and the first lines were:
Sunlit shoreline
Where I was baptized
This time dark skies
Leave me capsized
That did it
The words couldn’t have been chosen
more perfectly.
This is the same place I was
“baptized” (figuratively speaking) 10
years ago.
And when I look back on that time, it’s
now a sunlit shoreline. The pain isn’t
there anymore. I’m healed. I’m free.

But, this time…it’s a new wound. A
very old, deeply infected wound.
And although I know these waters of
pain with the Lord…the skies are
dark.
And in every possible way, I felt
capsized.
The next part said,
This is the river where I went under
This is the river where I come up new
As I was driving, ENDLESS TEARS
were flowing out of me.
The ache was so deep. As I wiped my
sunglasses from the sopping wet, I
felt the relief starting to come.
I felt HIM taking the ache…
I was going under. Fully surrendering
Him to take this and make something
beautiful from it.
No matter my history. No matter how
many times I’ve failed. No matter
how much I’ve walked in fear. I
surrendered.
The chorus went
Oh, oh God, be my rescue
Oh, oh God, be my rescue
And save me from myself
Save me from myself
Oh, oh God be my rescue tonight
It became my heart’s cry.
I sat there weeping, literally
clutching my chest with my hand. As
if to remind my soul that it would be
okay. That it would be healed. That it
can trust Him here.
The Bible talks a lot about speaking
to your soul. David did it often. I
understand now why….I had to force
my spirit to be louder than my soul.
Because my soul knows how to run
and hide. It knows how to be alone. It
knows how to wall off and shut
everything out.
It’s darn good at it.
But, my spirit knows better. It
understands there’s a better way. It
knows the freedom that comes from
letting him in and allowing him to
press, to mold, to make new.
When the song ended, I literally
found it on my phone on youtube
(sorry data usage) and played it on
repeat 4 times. I wept the entire way
home.

When I got home, I parked and sat
for a while.
I recognized this place too…
Instead of the ache, there was relief.
I knew this place.
It meant I had done it.
I had exchanged the pain for the
beginning of his beauty.
The healing process isn’t complete
yet, but we are making major
strides. The last two nights I’ve slept
great and the anxiety has been at
bay.
Halleluja.
THIS IS THE GOSPEL I KNOW.
IT’S THE ONE I WANT TO FOLLOW.
THE ONE I WOULD LAY MY LIFE
DOWN FOR.
IT’S THAT GOOD.

NOT THE
ULTIMATE:
LEARN, LIVE
AND
MOVE ON.
Mistakes are part of human
development. No one gets better in life
without making any form of mistake. You are
not the first and neither are you going to be
the last to make mistakes in life. This means
that many people have made serious mistakes
or will be making one on their journey in life.
The issue is not the mistakes but your attitude
and the mindset you develop when you make
mistakes is what will determine whether you
a failure or not.

MISTAKES ARE NOT ULTIMATE....
Success is not air one breathes. It
is in the activity we do and pursue
regardless of the fears and
challenges of failure. I have always
said that, what you are afraid of, you
can never become it; this implies that
when you are afraid to make a
mistake as you pursue success, you
will find it difficult to attain that
success. There are many hurdles and
challenges in life. However, our
ability to rise above them is what
gets us into the flight of success.
Making mistake is not failure.
Mistakes rather make us grow and
develop into what we had always
wanted for ourselves. Great and
successful men and women are
people who have made serious and
devastating mistakes in life and have
used their lessons learnt to rebuild
their personal life and success. A
man who is afraid to fail will fail at
trying. The only way to overcome
failure and become a person of
influence and significance is by
learning from your mistake.
Most at times, we think successful
people do not make mistakes. That is
a delusion people still have about
themselves. They think making
mistakes in life means you are a
failure. No! No! No! What they don’t
know is that, for one to have a
successful story in whatever they do,
they must have room for mistakes.
What you do not prepare for will take
you by a great surprise. We must
learn to create room or have an open
mind about mistakes. This prevents
us from peri -arrest when failure hits
us like a tornado or tsunami.
Many people live their lives
without preparing for mistake. They
therefore get deflated and get into
shock mode when they make a
mistake. The question is: You made a
mistake, so what? To become
successful in the pursuit of your
dreams, goals and aspirations; you
should know that you will have to
make mistakes, bearing in mind that ”
no one is perfect” and therefore,
making a mistake is another way of
learning and developing into
something greater than the mistake.
However, you cannot learn from
your mistakes when you try to deny
it.
Denying your mistakes only makes
you a victim of failure.
This is why it is very paramount that,
you learn to accept your mistakes and
open up for correction. Failure to do
this will push you into depth of
disappointment and heartaches.

Failing to accept that you have made
a mistake will also prevent others
from giving you the right and needful
help to make you stronger and wiser.
You must be ready to admit your
mistakes all the time without feeling
shy or shameful about it. This is how
you get help and redirection.
No driver in his or her rightful mind
continues driving on the fastest road
knowing very well that he or she has
made the wrong turning. Life is a
journey and mistakes are like the
junctions of life. You never stop
going or travelling on the road of life
because of a mistake? So why then do
you want to give up because you
have made a mistake?
Foolish people avoid mistakes but
wise people learn from their
mistakes.
Learning from your mistakes will
inspire you to desire to change and
improve your life. You don’t learn
from mistakes by avoiding it but
embracing it. One thing I have
personally learnt from my mistakes in
life is that, they make me to OBSERVE,
LEARN, DEVELOP, EDUCATE AND
DECIDE on how to make my life better
and inspire those around me (O.L.D.E.
R mistakes should make you older).
FIVE BENEFITS OF MISTAKES
There are a lot of benefits we can all
derive from our mistakes. These
benefits help to reshape our attitudes
in life and become successful and
relevant in society.
You become diligent.
Mistakes bring out the best in us. We
tend to work harder when we
experience some level of mistakes.
Most successful people get
committed to what they have set
before them and do everything
possible to achieve it. Because they
know how painful mistakes can be,
they put all their efforts into
everything they do when working on
their ideas just to ensure that they
achieve it. Mistake makes you
diligent.

You learn to be patient.
When you haven’t made a mistake in
life, you think everything is about
rush, rush and rush. You become
hasty about life. However, when you
make mistakes and learn from them,
you become more cautious and
careful about the way you carry
yourself and live your life. You then
appreciate that nothing is gained
through rushing but through
patience.
You can microwave porridge but you
cannot do that with success. I have
always remembered this statement
made by my late grandmother that,
“A patient dog can only eat a fat
bone”. This statement has thought
me to be patient in life and never to
rush to be rich overnight. With
patience, success can be achieved.
You become focus and
determined.
Successful individuals are more
determined and focused to achieve
something in life. This is because
they have learnt from their mistakes
and knew how to avoid repeating the
some mistakes over and over again.
Mistakes also help you to remain
resolute, dedicated and determined
by sticking to one thing particularly in
life in your pursuit of success.
It takes great efforts and
determination to overcome these
barriers of failure. This only becomes
possible when you learn to identify,
accept your mistake and have the
mindset to learn. Be like the postage
stamp on an envelope; you never
come off the envelope even if you
arrived at the wrong address. You
stick until you reach your destination
in life. For you to achieve success in
life, you should be ready to be
dedicated to pursue and improve
upon yourself no matter the number
of times you make mistakes. This is
how your dreams and goals are
achieved. Never allow anything or
anyone to stand before you in the
pursuit of your dreams.
You learn to plan ahead.
Another benefit of mistakes is that
you become an effective planner.
People who learn to plan are people
who have learnt that, failing to plan
will always result in failure and
disappointment. Mistakes make us to
be more proactive and organized. You
don’t just take things for granted but
develop the habit to plan, work
towards your goals and become
successful.

Nothing works and gets a man
successful like planning. Plans help
us to build internal confidence and
belief in our abilities to achieve
anything we set our minds to do.
Sometimes, we lack boldness to try
something simply because, we have
filled our minds with negativity that
we will fail and become a laughing
stock. This stops us from believing
our strengths but focus on our
weaknesses just because, we do not
want to be mocked or laughed at.
Please, regardless of the number of
times you have failed trying to be
successful; you have the power to
keep trying until you succeed. Don’t
give up.
Many people have failed more than
you have failed yet, they have not
given up so, why must you? I dare you
to start changing your attitude to
mistakes and see it as a stepping
stone into your successful life. You
will always make a mistake on your
way to success but you have valuable
lessons to learn if you faint not. Step
up and keep up. You are destined to
succeed through your mistakes.
You may have made the mistake by
picking the wrong shoe for
boardroom dance, have gotten into
the wrong transport or train to
another destination; or even have
made the wrong pizza order. What
will you do? Would you have found
another way to deal with it and learn
a vital lesson from your mistake? Well
this is life.
Choose Your Friends Wisely
Sometimes, we get into wrong
associations or relationships with
people we do not like or jobs we
don’t even want to do. It does not
mean we should give up and throw in
the towel. Not everyone is lovable or
caring. If you think you have made a
mistake by getting into the wrong
associations, you can only get out
from it but it should not prevent you
from trying another relationship that
has had your best interest at heart.
Know that you cannot change people
but yourself. Never allow negative
people to pollute your mind,
environment and change the
direction of your purpose in life.
Live to learn and learn from your
mistake.

LOOSE THE COLT
And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to
Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the
mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in
the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied,
whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring
him hither.
And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus
shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need
of him. And they that were sent went their way,
and found even as he had said unto them. And as
they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said
unto them, Why loose ye the colt? And they said,
The Lord hath need of him.

As the preacher recounted
the triumphant entry of Christ
Sunday morning, a phrase began to
capture me. Actually several phrases
from this beautiful story in The
Word. It simply would not let me go.
I began to talk to the Lord about it
and ask Him for insight into His
heart. “loose the colt…” seemed so
benign yet something hidden we
could glean from. “bring him hither.”
“The Lord is in need of them.” I
thought it fascinating for in Matthew
we see it states there is a donkey
and a colt (a baby donkey). Does
anyone but me find it amazing how
Christ chose the baby donkey..the
colt? One that had never been ridden
it states…wouldn’t that mean it was
surely an unbroken animal?… I mean
when was the last time you tried to
just hop up on a donkey…much less a
baby one.
Also, in comparison to the other
donkey, it was the younger of the
two, a mere colt…the short
legged…the smaller in stature. Don’t
you imagine if we were the Lord, we
would have chosen a stallion? Isn’t it
just like the Lord? The least likely
again…
colt” ….untie him….meaning he was
tied up. (makes sure you do not miss
the obvious here.) Let me ask you…”
what has you tied up?” Because
Christ is calling it to be untied. For He
is in need of it. He is in need of YOU!
Is your potential tied up? Has your
gifting been tied up? Has your
destiny been tied up? Have you been
bound in some way? Have you tied
up yourself or has someone else tied
you up? Either way, Christ calls now
to “loose the colts.” The body of
Christ must release it’s people now.
Untie them…BRING THEM HITHER!!
for the Lord has need of them….
Did Christ need that donkey? Of
course not. But He chose that
donkey…..a stubborn animal yet one
ranchers and farmers know as
protectors from scavengers such as
coyotes. Perhaps you are a good
protector of others…a shepherd….but
you’ve been bound by tradition,
bound by lies, and bound by what
and who others think you should be.
You’ve been tied up with all kinds of
God given gifts and talents woven
inside of you as He formed you….but
Satan has slowly over the years….tied
a nice little bow around you. He has
restricted you…He went to work the
moment you were born.
He sent His disciples to “loose the

Your normal has become one of
being bound….you are unsure what
freedom really is even like…but
you’ve always known there was
more. There has always been a deep
stirring maybe even at a young age
of purpose. You may not have
known what to call it but it was
always nagging at you. A hunger for
more…a longing that was never at
rest.
Also, let’s not miss that in the
passage the Lord “sends His
disciples” to loose the colt. Did He
have to send his disciples? Of
course not…the same voice that
spoke the world into existence
could certainly have untied the
donkey Himself with a mere
thought. But He chose to send His
disciples..For those of us in church
and ministry leadership. Those of us
who have been graciously given a
platform to speak of Christ…..He is
sending us to “loose the colts.”
Release those bound and let Christ
show us how to “untie” them from
all that hinders their purpose in the
Kingdom.
We must put our minds on the
bigger picture. We must begin to
multiply the Kingdom…multiply the
disciples…multiply the workers. It
will require us getting our hands
dirty, untangling some knots for our
brothers and sisters..and then
bringing them to the Lord.
Look for the short legged..the
unknown..the young or simply
younger! Look for the
stubborn…you know the one
you would never choose if you
were God?!? We will have to
learn to cease looking for the
noble and those with a lineage
of perfection….you won’t find it.
Remember, Christ saw
something in Paul….the very
stubbornness and zealousness
that murdered Christians is
what Christ saw to be an asset
for His Kingdom work when
redirected by His Spirit!

Perhaps we have been trained to look for
certain attributes, Personalities,track records of
success, seminary degrees, financial status,
denominational alliances, personal likenesses,
heritage, race, or gender. But God sees none of
these….we are all made ONE in Christ at the
cross. Oh no….His eye is on the orphan girl, the
least of the clan, the overlooked in the fields
tending the sheep. Be careful who you set your
eyes on…..make sure you have the eyes of
Christ…or you likely will choose wrongly and
the Kingdom work will be stifled.
Go…..now….loose the colts….for the Lord has
need of them..and when you find them tied
up…bring them hither…Christ has a plan for
them!
“Loose the Colt”
“Loose the colt” said the man
“For tell me the reason please?”
The Lord has sent a command
And now the Lord needeth thee.
Should the colt stay where it’s tied
Never God’s plan would be seen
So” loose” the colt dear man
For now the Lord needeth thee.
Go yonder for there is a colt!
That’s never been ridden you see
He’s waiting to be untied
For now the Lord needeth thee.
A colt that’s been set aside
Whose captured the eyes of the King
To bear up the name of The Christ
O’ now the Lord needeth thee.
Please “loosen the colts” Heaven
rings!!!
They’ve waited for years so it seems
For chosen they are and redeemed
It is time the Lord needeth thee.
And when they drew nigh unto
Jerusalem, and were come to
Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives,
then sent Jesus two disciples,
2 Saying unto them, Go into the
village over against you, and
straightway ye shall find an ass tied,
and a colt with her: loose them, and
bring them unto me. 3 And if any man
say ought unto you, ye shall say, The
Lord hath need of them; and
straightway he will send them.
4 All this was done, that it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by the
prophet, saying,5 Tell ye the daughter
of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto
thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass,
and a colt the foal of an ass. 6 And the

Women are known to be
the emotional ones of the human
species; although I can assure you
men are extremely emotional
creatures. Women are known to lead
with their heart which is why so many
say we wouldn’t make good
Presidents and Rulers of Countries;
although some women have done
these jobs just fine.
I know I’d pick Michelle Obama to
lead this country and a few others
any day, but I digress. When you look
up passionate you find it is an
adjective that says showing or caused
by strong feelings or a strong belief.
I’m sure they wanted to put a
woman’s picture next to that because
that just about describes all women. I
would argue that passionate and
women are truly synonyms.
Now, I personally don’t see anything
wrong with the fact that we are
passionate creatures, that we care,
that we let our hearts lead us. This
level of passion and caring for others
had led to some of the greatest
movements gaining great momentum
and forcing some key men to take a
stance and make some things happen.
For example, the passionate women
who weren’t completely brainwashed
and bamboozled by fear really put a
push on the abolition of slavery, there
wasn’t a shortage of passionate
women behind the women’s suffrage
movement and if you look at the
#BlackLivesMatter movement of
today black women are truly standing
on the front lines and pushing this
movement to a higher level. So here
is the question if we can easily
become passionate about so many
things how do we find OUR Passion?

I have my definition but sometimes
I’ve been known to see things
differently so I looked up the word
passion and it says it is a noun
meaning strong and barely
controllable emotions; the suffering
and death of Jesus. I’m glad Webster
confirmed what I’ve been thinking,
teaching and saying for quite some
time now. Your true passion comes
from your emotional reaction to the
cross.
Now for some people they think that
stops at crying or falling out but in all
honesty your passion should
transform and change your life; once
you tap into the passion that is
within you things should NEVER be
the same for you. Because of this I
fully believe that your true passion is
synonymous with your purpose.
Let me explain.
Your purpose by definition is the
reason for which you were created;
the reason you exist. God only has
one purpose for His people for “All
authority in heaven and on earth has
been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the

This is the underlining purpose for
which God has created all of us to go
out and bring others to the cross. Now
here’s where so many get confused
this is all of our purpose but he has
created all of us uniquely in the way
we are meant to carry out this
purpose.

within the one purpose.

Now that I’ve made it clear what
your passion and purpose are how
do you go about uncoding your
unique purpose to fulfill THE
PURPOSE! Well, it’s truly a simple
task of asking God and seeking Him
first and foremost. Many will tell you
your purpose is what you can’t stop
doing no matter what, what you do
for FREE, what you do without even
thinking. All of that is completely
true because it was what you were
born to do without a shadow of a
doubt. But if you want the truth
you’ve got to go deeper, you’ve
really got to spend some time with
God and get a clear understanding
of how it has to play out.
I would challenge you to look at the
areas of your life that you’ve had to
overcome the most, the areas where
you felt the biggest struggles. Now
put those areas/problems side by
side with what you do without any
prompting and then see how God
can be glorified within that. I
promise you when you put all those
three things together you will have
the answer you’ve been seeking all
along, you will find the thing that
brings you to the Cross, the thing
that you were made for, the thing
that advances the Kingdom.

What inspires
you and
motivates you in
life?

When you have a
passion for something, it is only
natural that you begin to pursue
it. What is passion? Passion is the
very thing that you love and think
of all the time. It take courage and
zeal to pursue what you love.
The bible says, that
all things are possible to them who
believe. When we believe we can
and we will do greater things.
First we think it and than act upon
what we think. Passion takes
courage and faith and it takes
more courage to get established
in life. It takes a step of faith, to go
after what we love and are
passionate about in life.
So many things try to get in the
way of what we love. However, we
must push and press forward to do
the very thing we have confidence
to do. We cannot be discouraged
when we try and we fail. We just
need to keep knocking on that door
until an opportunity comes and
gives us a breakthrough.
I beleive that we must perservere
and remain positive in order to
make things happen.
Timing is everything. Trusting in
the greatness of a big God who is
always doing exceedingly and
above what we ask or imagine. It
helps to set a time or goal to
accomplish what we need to do in
life. It keeps us on track as we stay
focused.
In your weakness, Christ's strength
is made perfect. It truly takes a
fighter spirit to do what you are
passionate about in life. Nothing is
impossible to them who believe. All
things are possible through Christ
who gives us strength.
I am confident that our strength
comes from God, and that makes
me go after what I love. It requires
pressing and pushing towards it all
the time. Never give up on what
you love and do not lose hope in
life.

The very thing that seems so
impossible to do in life, truly is the
very thing that must be done. Keep
pressing and pushing for what you
deserve in life. You deserve the
very best that God has for you.
There is much ahead for you, just
keep the faith alive. Do not be
discouraged in the journey of life.
When you fail, get back up and
keep trying until something
magical happens. It takes courage
to keep pursuing purpose and
passion in life. The more you keep
trying, the more it gets better. We
should trust in the will of God upon
our life so that he helps us to
accomplish it.
Anything in life requires effort and
time to do it. Always keep the fire
of your passion burning.
Sometimes it will take consistent
effort to accomplish the task. When
we have a clear picture in our mind
of accomplishing our passion, than
it motivates us to do work harder.
Never let anyone make the fire in
you die. Surround yourself with
positive people that want to see
you succeed to make your dream
come true. The more you go after
what you love, the more you will
fulfill it.
The end matter is better than the
beginning. Faith is currency. Having
faith to just do it regardless of what
may come your way. Have faith in
God. Before you call, God hears you
and answers you. God is faithful to
keep his promises through his
word.
It just takes the right time for
whatever you are passionate about
to come into establishment. Be
strong and of good courage in this
life journey. All things work
together for good for those who
love God and are called according
to his purpose. God is making
everything beautiful in its time.
Push towards the mark of the high
calling.
Let those arround you know what
you are passionate about, but
remember that it take stime to
develop . It takes practice in your
daily life to be more effective and
productive.
What do you love?
Pursue it daily and practice doing it
on a daily basis. You will see how
you will begin to develop in your
ability to do what you are
passionate about.
Every effort counts to make
something beautiful happen.
Making something out of nothing,
that's the beauty. Your end will be
so much more better than your
beginning. Always keep the faith
alive and well. You can do anything
you put your mind to do.

Confident
bold &

explosive
Bold and explosive!
A mirror of the ministry of Jesus
comes right out of the character of
Jehovah God, emblazoned with the
fire around the throne. As I look into
those fiery eyes, my confidence is His
confidence.
Has that always been the case? No!
Am I always flawless in my
confidence? No! But, do I know -
without a shadow of a doubt - that
my confidence and strength comes
from God! A resounding Yes! comes
to mind.
I am so confident in the blood of Jesus
shed on the Cross to change any
dynamic that I bring to The Father. The
covenant that Jesus made for us by His
finished work on the cross, his death,
burial and resurrection, and His ascent
to our Father has changed all those
who have received Him as Savior. And
yet, we see the lack of confidence and
strength in so many women that seizes
and cripples their call.
Personally, I want to be strong in the
Lord at every turn. I want to lean on
Him when I need to do so. When I get
into the wilderness, I want to come out
leaning on my beloved Jesus. In the
really good times when I’ve been
blessed beyond measure, I want to be
so grateful and thankful so as not to
miss the blessing of being able to come
back to God with my praise - as well as
speak to others with my
testimony.

Is there a reason for all of this
strength and confidence? Yes
indeed, there are many reasons
that I canemphatically proclaim it is
so. It is all because I’ve been
through some things. I have lived
long enough, exercised faith on so
many occasions, and seen the hand
of God move on my behalf and
others . . . that I am convinced that
nothing can keep me from the love
of God. He is faithful. He is just. He
is merciful.
Being a woman in this day and age
still has some very severe
consequences – especially for those
of us in ministry. But, I’ve stood in
the presence of others, been
ordained and consecrated, and set
apart for Him. I’ve pledged my love
to God. And, I’ve never been sorry. I
believe there is a confidence and
strength that comes in a public
confession to want to be God’s
minister. For those who think that is
not necessary, let me know how
that might be working for you.
There is power in having someone
see your giftings and talents and
having them stand with and for you
before God to that testify to that
fact. Now, some of you aren’t in the
profession of ministry – but you too
have those who have or will testify
about your benefit to some type of
work or calling. If you’ve ever
received a paycheck, then you have
someone’s approval. Right?

My strength comes in
knowing who I am and what purpose
for my life has been fashioned by
God. Knowing that each person has a
plan, purpose, and destiny for their
life helped to shape and transform
my thinking.
As I look back, I see the hand of God
molding and shaping me for what I do
today. The past was a formation for
what I am doing now. There is a
confidence when you hammer
out these things in prayer. It is as if
God wants to etch it out on stone for
each of us so that we know the whys
and wherefores.
I’ve come to know that the more
serious I become about approaching
God and showing Him that I am
interested to know His will for my
life, the more revelation and
understanding comes to me. Do I
know it all? No! But, I do know that
God orders the steps of the righteous;
and therefore I can trust Him with my
future.
Sometimes there is hesitation,
procrastination, and fear (if I
really want to be honest). There are
times when I have to pray and fast in
order to have breakthrough. Many
times, I need someone else to pray
for me, prophesy to me, or give me
wisdom in the area of need. I know I
can’t do it all on my own, and that is
ok. There is a confidence in knowing
that God has sources here on Earth to
help us, as well as His supernatural
sources.

The Confident Woman
God’s track record with
me is one of perfectness. Did I
always understand His ways? What
do you think? There is always
“more” of God. His protection and
His plan of perfection can be
counted on to all those who avail
themselves. Again, it’s so worth it!
Happiness comes in the process,
because mistakes are corrected
and healing and deliverance are
part of the package deal.
I find strength and confidence in
fellowship with like-minded
Christ followers. They come and
go. Sometimes they pop back into
my life quickly and bring what is
needed. Some leave and move on.
New ones come on the horizon
frequently, both for a quick in and
out - and some stay for a while.
Only a few remain constant. It
always amazes me - and sometimes
confounds me - when I see it could
only be the prompting from the
Holy Spirit who orchestrates Spirit
fellowship.
I'm one of the blessed ones
who has had a happy long-term
marriage with children and now
their families. There’s a quiet
confidence in that fact, knowing
that God has kept the covenant
with us. Iknow not everyone has
this blessing, so it makes me
humble and compassionate toward
others who have another scenario.
God’s purposes are beyond my
understanding, and I can be content
with that.
I suppose my testimony is
that I am confident through God,
and His strength is what I need and
require.
I praise Him for His goodness and
seek His face for all that I need no
matter what my circumstances.
I smile when I see a strong,
confident woman. I also know she
has had times when she has been
challenged just like myself. It is
really through the good and the
bad times that we get shored up to
face the day and all that comes
with it. I choose to be encouraged,
and I am sure that I need to
encourage myself. Our God is
mighty! It’s through His love that
you and I continue on down the
path to run the good race to
completion.

Worship
Growing
up I found that I had a greater
inclination towards worship. I found
myself consumed by this desire to
know God and to love Him. Through
the years I have sought after his heart
in song and everything that pertains
to Him. I have often been told that
people with a prophetic disposition
find themselves drawn more towards
worship. This is partly because
worship activates the prophetic. After
having often experienced it myself ; I
will not argue with that! It is part of
the reason why I sing and write
prophetic praise and worship.
However I have found that the reason
I am a worshiper (besides the
simplest explanation all man ought to
worship) is because when I find God I
find life and I find myself.
Having been a born again and Holy
Ghost filled Pentecostal most of my
life, I have watched the different
transitions within the body of Christ.
It seems like nowadays we spend less
and less time seeking the face of the
father but back then we used to take
time with God fellow-shipping with
Him and hearing his plan for us and
our nations. Now everything is so
'structured' with outlined agendas
and programs; but where is God’s
agenda in all this? When we look at
worship we now see it as the time we
designate for songs to be sung; but
worship goes beyond that which is
designated.
Worship is in everyday; everywhere I
am and consistent expression of
adoration of him and fellow-shipping
with Him. It is you constantly and
consistently being in the presence of
the Lord : so even when we begin
with prayer we worship; when we
sing we worship and when we hear
the word we worship! What has
happened to that time of pure
reflection in the presence of the Lord,
that irrefutable moment when the
Holy Spirit is at work within the
corporate body and individually?

We often dismiss the intangible as
being of less importance because it
appears not to exist in time and
therefore to us it does not translate to
anything real. We focus less on
spending time in the presence of the
Father because that seems to only
grow the spirit, as if the physical is
greater than the spiritual?
Do not all things begin in the spirit
realm before they manifest in the
physical? Nowadays we seem to focus
on what we call the development of
the mind so as to attain some level of
materialistic success whilst the
spiritual things have been equated to
the “spooky”. Infact , those that spend
more time searching the heart of the
father are said to be too spiritual with
no earthly relevance.
What has happened to the clear line
between carnality and godliness?
Without the fundamental principles of
Christ we cannot fully develop the
mind of man, for the word says “let
this mind of Christ be in you”, what is
the mind of Christ? Why do we need
the mind of Christ? Without
relationship and searching out his
heart how can we then know the mind
of Christ and how can that mind be in
us? You become a lot like those you
spend most of your time with...
Okay, so Kudzie why are we talking
about worship? This appears to be an
issue of your Christian walk
altogether? Hang in there and walk
this out with me.
Let us briefly examine the attributes of
Worship. Worship takes you back to
Eden, back to that place where man
communed daily, fellow-shipped and
walked with God. Why talk of Eden?
Looking at the Eden model we
understand that Eden was the
intended environment for man. In it
were all things pertaining to man's
development and sustenance. Man
walked with God daily and in Eden it is
believed that there was a ladder
between heaven and earth. So,
imagine the spiritual atmosphere of
Eden. Moreover, it is said that Adam
could travel at the speed of thought.
What is the relevance of all this?
Worship creates the environment for
heaven and earth to transact as well as
open the mind of man to think on a
God level.

So what is the role of Worship?
Worship develops every aspect of a
man. How? Worship moves your
desire to the center of your
affection; it gravitates towards God
and that which pertains to Him.
Worship opens spiritual portals that
allow us to access not only the glory
of God but also the brilliance of God.
It was the idea all along; the Father’s
original intent. Remember I said
worship takes you back to Eden.
Eden was the place where Adam
could access the brilliance of the
God in Him, he was truly like God.
The environment was wired in a way
that man could be like God and it
was also activated and fueled by
worship. Worship was and is a daily
engagement in which man
encounters God and seeks for
intimacy with him.
I believe the development of every
man lies in man’s desire to seek after
the creator and to become one with
him. Worship brings that alignment
from where you are and where He is.
You become like what you worship!
So where are we? What really is the
source of our development? By all
means let us teach development but
let us not forsake the role spiritual
engagement has in making us who
we are supposed to be. Inventions
are often accessed in a place of
peace and serenity where one's soul
is in alignment. That is the God
environment; the super charged
godly atmospheres that we often
cannot explain. Yes, it is the very
environment given to you to access
brilliance and inventions. The life
changing thoughts and ideas are
often accessed in a realm beyond
human reasoning and
comprehension.
Yet how do we access it all without
worship? God is all knowing and all
powerful surely when we tap into
him we have the ability to do the
impossible. It’s time to let go of the
wisdom of man and grab on to the
wisdom of God.
Brothers and Sisters let us let go of
worldly thoughts and ideologies
forming the basis of our faith and
belief systems. After all the most
influential organisations in the world
have very strong spiritual beliefs and
most times their very basis is
worship.
Why do we allow the enemy to
separate us from the gift that God
gave to us to access the realms
beyond our comprehension. In God
there is everything, when you truly
learn to worship God you access all
that pertains to life and godliness. So
why short change ourselves?
LETS GO BACK TO WORSHIP!

So many
times I wanted to give up because
of the naysayers and worrying about
the fact that I was not good enough
and would be judged due to what I
thought at the time was a
circumstance.
Most of the women in my family
would continue this process. Living
to work, working to live just to
provide for their fatherless children.
God gave them the strength to be
our providers, but I did not just want
to work to live and live to work to
provide for my children. Don’t get
me wrong I am grateful for their
sacrifices but I want more for mine.
accomplishing the things that I
wanted to achieve in life such as:
having children out of wedlock,
which I would have done twice over,
but not intentionally. From one
generation to the next I would see
this growing up.
I had been warned about so many
things that would stop me from

Growing up with bible
teaching mum-mum
(grandmother) that thought that I
could not do or be what I wanted
was always short lived. She
always taught me that God said
“All things can be done through
Christ who strengthens me.” Well
I continue to trudge on. I can do
all things through Christ who
strengthens me, have and
continue to. That meant finishing
school despite of my so-called
“situation”, becoming a home
owner despite, starting my own
business despite and so much
more.
I learned that God was
giving me my strength through
my children. When I thought it
impossible my son being the first
born and an only child for 11
years was my determination, my
rock to make me overcome the
obstacles of I did and could not
believe. I thank GOD for blessing
me with him because through my
son I knew that I had purpose
other than just being a baby
mama with child out of wedlock.
I knew that God had given him to
me for reasons beyond measure. I
believe that one of those main
reason was to give me strength
where I was weak that I did not
have and to accomplish
everything that he put on my path.
If not for the path God has chosen
for me in having my children, I
truly believe I would have been
worse off. So much has been
accomplished in my life and
strength alone is one of the
biggest things I am grateful for in
all that has happened.
Never give up on anything
that you want to accomplish. It’s
inevitable the things that God will
do and give you if you just have
faith, ask and wait.
