Camp Manitou
Camp Manitou is a summer camp and Year
Round Outdoor Recreation Facility located
5 minutes outside of Winnipeg. With its
forests, large grass playing field, and the
Assiniboine River on three sides, this 28 acre
oasis provides lots of space in which to enjoy
nature. We provide a wide range of activities,
challenging educational programming, and
the perfect environment to step out of the
everyday and connect with nature.
Camp Manitou creates a fun and safe
environment for campers to take positive
risks so they can develop friendships, camp
skills, self-confidence, and increased respect
for themselves, the community, and the
environment.
Whether they realize it or not, we push
every participant to grow in character skills
like independence and confidence as well as
life skills such as resourcefulness, teamwork
and responsibility while they are at camp.
Our goal is that every child that comes to
camp has a great experience and wants to
come back every summer.
There are many new aspects of camp to
be excited about. We just finished our new
archery range, playground, climbing wall,
bouldering wall, and zipline last summer
and they were a huge hit! This summer we
plan to introduce a low ropes course, 12 new
cabins, and overnight camp.

Summer Art Camp @ WAG
Indulge your child's creative side with
memorable art making at the Winnipeg Art
Gallery's Summer Art Camp!
Each week-long session of Summer Art
Camp features a new and exciting theme
filled with art-making activities, games, field
trips, and adventures in the Gallery. On the
last day of art camp, campers will enjoy pizza
and host a mini-exhibition for their parents
and friends to see.
Choose from three themes - Downtown,
Oh Canada, and Painting with Picasso. Paint
the town all sorts of colours in Downtown,
a multi-media exploration of Winnipeg that
reveals how art can be found everywhere.
Once back in the studio with sketches and
ideas, campers will design their own city using
a multitude of art materials. Oh Canada
celebrates Canada's 150th birthday with artmaking
and games focused on the wonders
of Canada's magnificent landscapes, many of
which can be seen in the Gallery. This session
concludes with a big birthday party planned
by campers for friends and family to enjoy.
Last but not least, Picasso is in the house this
summer! Campers will Paint with Picasso and
create their own masterpieces inspired by
one of the greatest artists of all time.
Camps run July 4 to Aug 11, 9am to 4pm,
for children ages 6-8 and 9-12. Early drop off
starting at 8:30am and late pick up until 5pm

WISE Kid-Netic Energy Girls Camp
As parents, nothing is as satisfying as exposing
our children to their potential, encouraging
natural gifts, and instilling in our kids
the importance of hard work. Whether it be
sports, music, math, science, literature, or
art we try and expose our kids to as much
as we can. It can be exhausting, but we do
it for them anyways. We hope as they are
exposed, their minds are broadened, they
feel challenged, and they rise to meet those
challenges.
Computer programming is a skill many adults
do not have. It can be intimidating finding opportunities
for your children to develop, or be
exposed to that skill set. We have developed a
computer programming workshop for classrooms.
It's a great first exposure where students
learn more about if/else statements and
loops. However, computer programming is a
field in which women are especially underrepresented,
so if you're looking for extra-curricular
activities for your girls, we have some great
options. This year we are running our "All Girls
Robot Fight Club". It's an eight week, 4-hour
long training prep series for the Manitoba
Robot Games LEGO Mindstorms competition.
All participants use our LEGO Mindstorms
to prepare and compete. We have Valorie
Platero, an Electrical and Computer Engineering
student, and Jenica Woitowicz, a Computer
Science student training the girls this
year. July 18-20 and August 1-3 we will also be
offering an all-girls intro to coding camp. . The
girls will be exposed littleBits, Arduino, Dash,
LEGO Mindstorms and Snap Circuits. If you

Winnipeg Synchro
Do you or your child like music and water?
Come try a sport that combines both along
with the development of strength, cardio,
flexibility, and team-work. Our highly
qualified coaches follow the principles of
Long Term Athlete Development in order to
nurture the best in your child in a safe and
enjoyable environment. Winnipeg Synchro is
a non-profit organization offering programs
for beginner, recreational, competitive and
Masters (over 18) swimmers. No previous
Synchro experience is required. Our

Sagehill Stables
Sagehill Stables is located conveniently in
the south end of Winnipeg, only 4 km from
the south perimeter highway at 4180 Waverley
Street (St. Norbert Area). We have experienced
instructors who coach in both English
and Western riding disciplines, teaching
riders of all ages! Our spacious pastures and
indoor riding arenas nestled in a beautiful
treed setting along the La Salle River make it
a must-see facility!
