They Say Necessity Is The Mother Of<br />
Invention!<br />
It was a highly vulnerable situation that led Brian Quittner, a fourteen-year<br />
veteran of the Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol, to create the QuiqLite pocket light.<br />
When Brian found himself in the dark after his flashlight (awkwardly tucked under<br />
his arm as he wrote a citation) fell to the ground and stopped working. He knew<br />
that a practical and reliable hands free light source was needed to help make his<br />
job easier and safer. Thus the idea of QuiqLite was born!<br />
Back at the station, Brian sketched a prototype for a lightweight, hands-free<br />
device that could fit in a uniform shirt pocket. As his invention began to take<br />
shape Brian was careful to incorporate features that would help make his job<br />
easier and safer , such as an adjustable light arm, battery saving elements,<br />
independent LED activation etc… More importantly, he knew it was essential that<br />
his apparatus not affect night vision.<br />
What started as a safe, alternative light source for his fellow officers, soon<br />
blossomed into a business. Before long, he and wife Rachel were filling orders<br />
from their living room and shipping QuiqLite all over the world.<br />

Great Light for EMT and Medics
As an EMT on an ambulance night shift I often find myself needing a third hand to<br />
hold a light while I’m gathering information, taking vital signs or bandaging a<br />
patient. My new Quiqlite X provides plenty of light in the “low power” mode for<br />
nearly all these tasks. in the “High Power” mode, it provides plenty of light for<br />
walking down dark pathways while managing our stretcher.I took the alligator clip<br />
off because the light fits perfectly into the mic clip hole on my shirts. But I make<br />
sure to keep the clip handy in case I need to clip the light to my cap or<br />
jacket.Excellent product!<br />
The Perfect Tactical Vest Light!
I have had one unit since May 2013 and have been using it with my tactical vest<br />
for just over a year at this point. I have never had any issues with it performing<br />
when I need it to. In heavy rain, sleet and snow there have been absolutely no<br />
issues. I would say that during one night in my shift, the unit will be used for<br />
approx. 2 hours. With this amount of use, I would need to charge it about one<br />
time a week. If I forget to charge it at home, I will just use the cable that I keep in<br />
my patrol bag to hook it up to the computer in the patrol car.Since I have started<br />
to use it, a quarter of the guys in my squad have bought one and have had no<br />
complaints.I recently had an incident where I was in a foot chase and had to scale<br />
a fence. I think that while going over the fence, for a brief time, all of my<br />
bodyweight was on the Quiqlite and the plastics were broken. I gave the customer<br />
service number a call and was talking to Brian in under a minute. I explained what<br />
happened and that any warranty that I would have had was now expired. He went<br />
ahead and shipped out replacement parts the next week no questions asked.So in<br />
short, great product and awesome customer service. I will continue to<br />
recommend this product to anybody that asks me about it<br />
