GUIDELINES IN THE SEARCH FOR MISS BICOLANDIA 2011
A. AN APPLICANT-CANDIDATE MUST BE:
1. At least 17 but not more than 24 years old on the date of the proclamation night;
2. At least 5’5” in height (barefoot);
3. Single, of good moral character and reputation, and never given birth or has never been a mother;
4.
A Filipino citizen, a Bicolana by birth or by blood or a resident of Bicol Region for at least three (3)
consecutive years.
5. At least 4 th Year High School;
6. Able to communicate in any Bikol dialect; and
7. Of good health and can perform her future task of representing the Bikol as Ambassador of goodwill.
B. APPLICANT-CANDIDATE MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:
1. IF BICOLANA BY BLOOD (either of her parent or both Parents are Bicolanos) even if at
present applicant-candidate is not a resident of the Bikol region.
1. Duly Accomplished Miss Bicolandia Application Form
2. Certified true copy of birth certificate
3. Certified true copy of birth certificate of mother or father
4. Certificate of residency and good moral character issued by the Barangay Captain of the place of
present residence indicating the inclusive date and period (duration) of residency
5. If employed, certificate of employment
6. Registrar’s/School head’s certification of educational level/course completed/presently enrolled;
7. Medical Certificate of physical/mental fitness issued by a practicing licensed physician
2. IF BICOLANA BY BIRTH (both parents not Bicolanas but applicant-candidate was born in
the Bikol Region) even if at present she is not a resident of the Bikol Region.

1. Same requirements as of no. 1, except birth certificate of either parent or such other documents as
maybe required by the committee.

a) Miss Bicolandia 2011 Php 200,000.00 plus trophy & sash
b) 1 st Runner-Up Php 100,000.00 plus trophy & sash
c) 2 nd Runner-Up Php 50,000.00 plus trophy & sash
d) 3 rd Runner-Up Php 35,000.00 plus trophy & sash
e) 4 th Runner-Up Php 20,000.00 plus trophy & sash
D. SPECIAL AWARDS
a) Miss Photogenic Php 7,000.00 plus trophy & sash
b) Miss Friendship Php 7,000.00 plus trophy & sash
c) Best in Gown Php 7,000.00 plus trophy & sash
d) Best in Swimsuit Php 7,000.00 plus trophy & sash
e) Best in Production Attire Php 7,000.00 plus trophy & sash
f) Best Designer Php 10,000.00 plus trophy
E. OTHER PRIZES
Talent Scout of the winning candidates shall receive the following:

2 nd Runner-Up Php 10,000.00

H. OFFICIAL FUNCTIONS OF WINNING CANDIDATES
Winning candidates for all the titles shall grace the Voyadores Festival on September 16, 2011 at the Naga
Metropolitan Cathedral Grounds, and Military Parade Competition on September 17, 2011 at the Plaza Quezon
as part of their official functions and in any official activity of the City Government of Naga, upon prior
invitation of the officials concerned. Actively promote Bikol culture and participate in other major activities of
the city.
I. MAINTENANCE OF HIGHEST STANDARD OF MORALITY
During their incumbency, the titleholders shall maintain the highest standard of morality. After due process is
observed and upon finding of violation hereof, the Executive Committee shall have the right to dethrone the
guilty party and award the title to the next winning candidate.
Talent scouts and the working team of the 20 official candidates shall strictly adhere to the rules and
regulations of the Miss Bicolandia and shall always maintain the proper decorum while within the vicinity of the
official residence of the 20 official candidates.
J. DIFFERENTLY-ABLED CANDIDATES
A qualified interpreter for possible differently-abled (i.e. deaf/mute) candidates shall be provided as necessary.

K. PROHIBITIONS
a) Two-piece swimsuit shall be allowed during the Pageant Night. No candidate shall wear high-cut or tanga
bikini. For purposes of verifying compliance with the standards of materials and design set by the
Executive Committee, the swimsuit shall be submitted to the Chair Person for inspection: at least one
(1) week before the Pageant Night. No candidate shall be allowed to compete in the event without
complying with the design and fit requirements;
b) Designers are required to provide new and tailored fit gown for the candidate;
c) Swim Suit and Long gown competition shall be conducted during the closed door interview (Pre-Judging);
d) No political questions shall be allowed during the Question and Answer portion;
e) Runners-up of last year’ Miss Bicolandia Beauty Pageant is disqualified to join this year’s pageant until after
one (1) year;
f) No body make-up, false eyelashes and colored eye lenses shall be allowed.
L. MORAL & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OF THE COUNCIL
The Naga City Beauty Pageant Council shall assist morally and financially any winner/s who will be the city’s
official representative in any prestigious national Beauty Contest;
M. PAGEANT PRESENTATION/CORONATION NIGHT
Finally, the program and design of the Beauty Pageant Presentation and Coronation Night shall be in such a
way project the good image of the Bicol Region in general, and the candidate as a Bicolana, in particular.
