Safety on Tour
WCDT’s #1 priority is each dancer’s safety and wellbeing
while on tour. Each team must come on tour fully selfsufficient
with a Studio Owner/Team Leader and
enough parent chaperones to ensure the safety
and wellbeing of all dancers at all times. The WCDT
chaperone/dancer ratio is 1:3- 5. Chaperones will be
responsible for 3 - 5 dancers who are in their room
group. The Studio Owner/Team Leader will oversee
their entire team.
The WCDT Tour Managers are responsible for the
overall running, organization and logistics of the tour.
The Tour Manager is not responsible for the individual
safety of the participants. The WCDT Tour Manager
will work closely with and support the Studio Owner/
Team Leader and Chaperones to ensure the safety and
enjoyment of all involved.
We understand that for many dancers this will be their
first time to the USA or even their first time overseas.
We aim to make this a safe and memorable trip of a
lifetime! Both accommodations have been chosen due
to their prime yet safe residential locations and all rooms
require swipe card access. Dancers will wear WCDT
waterproof wristbands for the duration of the tour
with the name and address of both hotels and the Tour
Manager’s contact number. Dancers and Chaperones
will be briefed on ‘keeping safe in New York & Orlando’
on the first day of tour.
Parents will have full contact details for their child while
on tour and will be able to follow the tour via the WCDT
