Flamenco Completo – Workshop
In conjunction with the workshop, Flamenco Completo also offers Technique,
Coaching, and Studio show – see p. 3 - 5.

Description
Flamenco Completo: Guitar, Dance and Singing – all in one workshop!
Ulrika Frank (flamenco dancer) and Marija Temo (flamenco guitarist and singer), each
known for their informative teaching styles, have collaborated to offer a complete workshop
experience that unites dancers, guitarists, and singers in the same class. Flamenco
Completo is unique in that the workshop focuses on the structure of letras (verses of
flamenco singing), how the structure varies, and is improvised in different ways.
Dancers are given choreography to letras, guitarists learn to accompany both the letras
and the dance simultaneously, and singers are taught letras with melodic and structural
changes. While accompanying one another, dancers and guitarists will realize and learn
the adjustments needed in order to interpret the variations that occur in the singing.
Flamenco Completo will enhance your awareness to listen, react, and respond.

Flamenco Completo – Technique
(option in conjunction with Workshop)

Guitar technique class – 1 hour: $100

Singing - 30 min. (guitarists & dancers are recommended to attend the singing class)
Technique classes can occur at the same time but will then require separate spaces.
For the Guitar and Singing technique classes no dance studios are required.
Description
The Flamenco Completo Instruction program includes Technique Classes where Ulrika
and Marija teach groups of students separately in each discipline. The Technique classes
will help prepare students for the Flamenco Completo workshop.

Flamenco Completo – Coaching
Fees & Options
Option 1 (1 – 4 students):
2 teachers & 1 student: $110 per hour
2 teachers & 2 - 4 students of students’ choice: $65 per student per hour
Option 2 – Weekend Package (1 – 2 students):
The fees below include airport transportation roundtrip (preferably Washington
International Dulles Airport, IAD), and housing and food which will be provided at Ulrika
Frank’s home dance studio in Vienna, VA. Please contact Flamenco Completo with any
particular Coaching requests. All fees are per student.

Guitar, Dance and Singing – all in one Coaching Session!
The Flamenco Completo Instruction program also includes Coaching Sessions where
Ulrika and Marija teach together in form of private, semi-private, or group instruction – see
Options. The Coaching Sessions are offered to help students with their repertoire of
falsetas, choreographies, letras, or any other particular request, in order to develop their
structure and communication skills. This type of individual Coaching will enhance students’
abilities on how to work with any guitarist, singer, or dancer. Private classes are also
available.
Coaching and Private classes in conjunction with Workshop and/or
Performance
• These students will be required to attend the workshop.
• Students are to be scheduled during the days of the workshop or performance
• Organizer is to look into studio fees and arrange times available for Coaching
and Private classes, and factor in the additional cost to charge students for the
studio. Note that guitar and singing privates do not require a studio – a room in
a home is sufficient.

Description
Ulrika Frank and Marija Temo offer “Flamenco Completo in Performance”. This
“Dynamic Duo” presents a program of music and dance which combines classical /
flamenco guitar and vocal with flamenco and contemporary style dance. Their skills have
merged into a silent but noticeable connection that is a visible pleasure to the eye and a
musical feast to your ear. They offer their duo performance for the theatre stage, guitar
and music series, smaller venues, and are also featured as guest artists with local
flamenco communities.

Flamenco Completo (FC) – Workshop: Organizer’s Responsibilities
Listed below are the Organizer’s responsibilities for the package of Workshop,
Technique, Coaching, and Studio show.
Organizer’s responsibilities:
• FC’s fee – paid in US currency on the final day
• Transportation
- Flights: 2 flights & baggage fees roundtrip (1 checked bag per artist)
- Local transportation roundtrip to airport, lodging, studio and venue
- Gas (mileage preferred) and tolls roundtrip, parking fees and passes if
FC will be driving
• *Lodging: housing or hotel. If hotel, FC can share room (non-smoking, 2 beds)
• *Meals or per diem ($90 US total per day)
• Studio – cost and booking. Supply armless chairs for guitarists and have
participants bring paper and pens, and guitarists bring capos
• Sound equipment (excl. Coaching): FC would like to arrive at dance studio a
min. of 15 minutes prior to program to set up sound. Temo will bring a wireless
vocal and guitar microphone, 2 transmitters and receivers. Please supply:
- 1 acoustic guitar amp with phantom power, XLR compatible, containing 2
separate independent inputs for two separate microphones (guitar & vocal)
- 2 XLR cables for microphones
- 3 electrical outlets near studio mirrors with 3 hole receptacle for amp and
receivers
- power strip so equipment can be placed together
• Promote the FC program – see p. 7
• Arrange Technique classes and or Coaching Sessions
• Handle registration and money for all programs
* Note: If Organizer involves others to provide Local transportation, Lodging, and
Meals, Flamenco Completo recommends that Organizer compensates them for
their expenses or offers a discount or trade for the workshop.
Any video recording or internet posting must have artists’ consent. Audio recording
and note taking is permitted for workshop participants only.

Flamenco Completo recommends that Organizer promotes Workshop, Technique,
Coaching, and or Performance by email, Facebook, Twitter, and or website. Flamenco
Completo will supply one flyer with pertinent information for internet use – any editing of
this flyer is to be made by Flamenco Completo only. The comments listed below and the
biography on p. 8 may also be used. Any other form of publicity is welcomed but will be at
Organizer’s cost. Flamenco Completo appreciates to be notified of all other publicity in
advance.

Flamenco Completo – Biography
While Ulrika Frank studied dance in her native Sweden at the University College of Dance
in Stockholm, earning a degree equal to a BFA in Dance and Dance Education, Marija
Temo received her Masters degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore,
MD, and her Bachelors degree from the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music in
Berea, OH. Their highly qualified education has given both Frank and Temo numerous
opportunities to perform worldwide and utilize their multifaceted talents such as Frank’s
exceptional skills of dancing flamenco and contemporary style dance and Temo’s exquisite
talents of singing, and playing classical and flamenco guitar. In addition to their versatile
performance careers, they are both known internationally for their teaching methods and
educational programs.
In 2008, after an extensive period of working together, they decided to combine their
teaching approaches and artistic talents to form a duo entitled Flamenco Completo,
offering workshops, technique classes, coaching sessions, and performances. The
workshop is unique in that it unites dancers, guitarists, and singers in the same class.
During technique classes, groups of students are taught separately in each discipline to
help prepare them for the workshop. In the coaching sessions, together they offer
instruction to help students with their repertoire in order to develop their structure and
communication skills, and in performance, the “Dynamic Duo” presents a program of music
and dance which combines classical / flamenco guitar and vocal with flamenco and
contemporary style dance.
Flamenco Completo is based in the Washington DC area. Their Fall and Spring tours have
included cities such as: Managua, Nicaragua; Miami, FL; Towson and Takoma Park, MD;
Long Island, NY; Atlanta, GA; Washington DC; The Plains, Charlottesville, Staunton,
Vienna, and Richmond, VA; Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, PA; Bath, Novelty, Berea, and
Mayfield, OH; San Francisco, CA; Hendersonville and Asheville, NC.
Some highlight performances include: Kennett Symphony Orchestra, Kennett Square, PA;
Teatro Ruben Dario, Managua, Nicaragua; The GSFA (Guitar Society of Fine Art)
