Cub Master Corner
Responsibility -This month’s core value is responsibility. Responsibility is
fulfilling our duty to help others and take care of ourselves. It is behaving
safely and appropriately without being told. When you repeat or say The Cub
Scout Promise, “I …. promise to do my best, to do my duty to God and my
country…” you are saying that you accept responsibility for your actions. Every
time you accept responsibility you are defining your character, who you are as
person. Jim Rohn has this to say about character and responsibility,
“Character isn't something you were born with and can't change, like your
fingerprints. It's something you weren't born with and must take responsibility
for forming.” Take care of yourself and others around you by accepting the
responsibilities your parents give you and doing them to the best of your ability.

-COMMUNITY SERVICE-
Community Service is an important aspect of scouting. Den
16 will be going to Feed My Starving Children this month
as a part of their community service project. We’d love to
see the other dens participate in other community service
activities!

Wreath sales are off to a great
start! Completed orders and
payment need to be into your
Den Leader no later than
October 26, 2010. Wreath pickup
