If the expressions of interest from potential buyers are any indication, Honeywood will become one of the most popular masterplanned developments in the metropolitan area. The recently released Draft Local Housing Strategy produced by the City of Joondalup is a must read for fi rst home buyers and investors according to Stuart Cox, Managing Director of Th e Peard Real Estate Group. Mr Cox said that the draft housing strategy identifi ed 10 locations in the City which provided the opportunity for redevelopment for higher density use. “Th e Draft Housing Strategy estimates that an additional 13,000 new homes will be needed in the City of Joondalup by the year 2031 based on a population of 160,000. “A key part of the Draft Housing Strategy is to increase the supply of houses through greater urban infi ll.
