Artist Statement
I create those imaginary and fascinating dreamlike escape
of a parallel world of mind that usually happens at the
same time I experience my normal daily life. Only with a lot
of questioning that form up to be my curiosity on human’s
morality and his cruelty. Moreover, the fast approach
of several temptations seduces him into an obsession
of corporeally. With continuously receiving information
from news and current media that promotes materialism,
I reflect that unlikely behavior through my creation of
characters in my paintings.
In my previous work and also with the upcoming project
for my 3rd Solo Exhibition this year 2017, I am focusing on
mankind and animals. Trying to show a different perspective
and changing the role of consumer, predator, and prey.
Reflecting the stories in my style adding each meaningful
characters. Through “Furry and Fay” as a symbolic, I tell the
stories, imagining the possible chance in the parallel world
and questioning “what if !?” Other than that I intend to have
my paintings just to start the curiosity as later the audience
will have their own way of judging and enjoy them.
From time to time the subject that matter will remain,
and one painting will do its duty in telling the story of how
people changes the world or how the world had changed
the people. My goals as being an artist are to have the art
speaks and travels as much as possible, and along the way,
it will also take me on its journey.
