The most adventurous and scenic way to visit the Mount Vesuvius<br />
crater is through the Vesuvius National Park.<br />
Off road 4x4 vehicles drive you up to about 1050 m above sea level.<br />
A fun trail of a gradual ascent on foot there-after to reach the crater. (approx 20 minutes)<br />
Enjoy the breath-taking views across the bay of Naples with Capri, Sorrento and<br />
Ischia in the distance, but is the view down the massive crater that is the lasting memory<br />
for most.<br />
Alpine guides are available at the crater entrance to answer any questions you may<br />
have.<br />
