Bell Witch. In fact, tales of the spirit were so widespread that they caught the<br />
attention of a General and future President, Andrew Jackson. An annual<br />
festival features “Smoke: A Ballad of the Night Riders” an original bluegrass<br />
musical about the historic Black Patch tobacco wars by APSU Alum and<br />
“Nashville” actor David Alford.<br />
